Yesterday was my second missed post in 1,126 days. Rough week, needed a break from everything. Felling much refreshed so was worth it.
Anyway, some of the prettiest butterflies aren't. This is a speckled yellow moth (Pseudopanthera macularia).

The bluebell fields near me are all quite difficult to photograph as they're all in among the trees like this. No nice open shots to be had, but damn they're pretty in person. Hopefully next year I'll have more time to go out to photograph them as I a go… instagr.am/p/Cscc-FoqVc6/

This was certainly an odd thing to find in the woods. I'd ducked a few pairs of mating crane flies earlier in my walk and then I found these two who had been literally caught in the act on a strand of spider silk. I don't know how the obvious next part h… instagr.am/p/CsNAZRMq-Qe/
Went for one of my currently rare walks in the woods today before the thunderstorm hit. Found this on a path through the trees and hope it means there's one more (I think) dunnock about to be flitting around in the canopy.
