I had no idea this eclipse thing was such a big deal.

@gnuman1979 I saw the total eclipse in 2017 and let me tell you, it is absolutely mind blowing when the moon first covers the sun and this crazy auroral flash happens. Totally worth experiencing.

Re-reading Cold Comfort Farm with a writer's eye. Blown away by her skill. Her sentences teem with joy of writing, especially her rich descriptions of tormented, demented rural misery. So clever. Must try to track down some of her other 23 books
