@AthenaMarley UHWI didn’t pay for the goods. It was said in the article JACDEN bought the goods and told supplier in Miami to put UHWI on the invoice. Jacden would have then gotten the documents from UHWI to clear the shipment at customs.

The procurement dept at UHWI should be fired along with whoever in finance who signed off on the payment. If they have an inventory officer, that person should be fired as well.

@ChrisPinnock1 The people who go on the program freely signed up knowing the terms because they earn more than if they were in Cuba. Nobody forcing them to go on it.

@JamaicanJefe I’m sure you will see when investigation complete UHWI didn’t pay for it. This is going on for years, private company pays for goods tells supplier to put public body on the invoice and then get the paperwork from public body to clear the goods.

Before we get to Lyndhurst Road… Who submitted the requisition for the goods? Why was the UHWI CEO’s name listed on the invoice? How did the Accounts Department pay with the incorrect address? Who approved the PO and Payment? Fire every single one of them!

Their bid was the cheapest but whn u added the additional costs that wasnt included n u had to pay for separately they were actually charging most than the preferred bidder who was including all

@Rudydearest @jayjaybrown97 Very simple way to solve this. Other companies go in and outbid them. Government Procurement rules very strict so if another company has a more competitive bid they will get it. But why isn’t that happening could it be that Jacden is efficient at what it does?

@CaribCricket I understand you’re reporting something that happened but at the same time you can see it was an extremely harrowing mental experience for the young lady and she still finished the over. I don’t see why you need to bring more attention to it and expose her to more embarrassment.
