The kids woke up and asked who won the election. I told them and my 5yo looked distraught and said "but what if he poops in our laundry?" And I wanted to say "he's not gonna poop in our laundry" but can I honestly promise that??

I find it frankly baffling, this push to make the poorest students go hungry. It is not the fault of the children that they can’t afford food. If they’re unable to eat, they will be unable to learn, and you’re condemning them to being poor for the rest of their lives.

@clhubes Ours exactly 3 yrs apart, almost to the day. They are in their 20s and I still think this.

My new car has a sunroof and I fully do not understand the purpose of this thing. What is it for? I already have side windows, why do I need top window? All it does is make my head hot. Why am I supposed to be excited about this?

@clhubes That’s how I talked to my kids too, and they became funny kids, with advanced vocabularies. Now they are hilarious and smart adults. They can quip and they are kind.
