2/ Under the hood — NSED coordination protocol: N models independently answer, then each evaluates all responses blindly. Scores aggregated via quadratic voting — two moderate votes outweigh one extreme. The cycle repeats until convergence.

@Mudit__Gupta Apparently 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m not telling that they’re not going to pay. But withdrawals of ETH weren’t working normally yesterday, at least in Russia.

ByBit CEO confirmed - All user funds are safe - ByBit Treasury has enough funds to cover full loss - They are taking a bridge loan from partners to cover eth for now, already have 80% commitment - Withdrawals remain active Overall, great crisis comms. Restores some confidence.

Bybit ETH multisig cold wallet just made a transfer to our warm wallet about 1 hr ago. It appears that this specific transaction was musked, all the signers saw the musked UI which showed the correct address and the URL was from @safe . However the signing message was to change the smart contract logic of our ETH cold wallet. This resulted Hacker took control of the specific ETH cold wallet we signed and transfered all ETH in the cold wallet to this unidentified address. Please rest assured that all other cold wallets are secure. All withdraws are NORMAL. I will keep you guys posted as more develops, If any team can help us to track the stolen fund will be appreciated. etherscan.io/tx/0xb61413c49…

New post on EthResear.ch! Web2 Nullifiers using vOPRF By: - curryrasul - levs57 🔗 ethresear.ch/t/21762 Highlights: - vOPRF (verifiable Oblivious PseudoRandom Functions) can generate unique identifiers (nullifiers) for Web2 identities without revealing personal data. - This method allows for anonymous voting and airdrops, where users can prove their identity without exposing their actual email or username. - The protocol involves multiple parties, including the user, an OPRF server, and a smart contract platform like Ethereum. - Using nullifiers helps prevent users from being tracked across different applications, enhancing privacy. - The approach can be applied to various Web2 to Web3 transitions, making it versatile for different privacy-focused projects. ELI5: This research discusses a new way to create anonymous identities for users on Web2 platforms using a method called vOPRF. It allows users to prove their identity without revealing personal information, enabling secure and private interactions like voting or claiming rewards.

2/ that takes the best from them: we have a Rarimo's kind of registry, but, i.e. instead of linking user's ID to hash(passport) - we can link it to vOPRF(hash(passport)) That'll give us vOPRF's level of security, while also securing us with Rarimo's "privacy network effect".

1/ I wrote down my thoughts about vOPRF/MPC-based approach vs @Rarimo_protocol's approach for Web2 ID "nullifiers". Read it here: curryrasul.com/blog/thoughts-… I compare these approaches and review advantages and disadvantages of both; and most importantly I propose a new solution ->
