I've known addicts of all kinds. Drugs, alcohol, sex, and gambling. None as depressing as your average Draft King American. A heroin addict will spend all his money for a moment of bliss. In that brief moment when their blood fills with that poison, everything is alright, pure happiness. The lows are of course very low. Every sports gambler I know, celebrates when they come within 10% of breaking even. Down 30k for the year? Well, they just hit a parlay for 3k and are on top of the world. Legalized sports gambling is destroying people and every day it becomes more common. We just collectively don't look at it like other addictions, but we should start.
