@SnookerLoopy_ @RainTown Because pundits love to compare players’ ranking titles as a barometer for success. Frankly, either every tournament should be a ranking event or we should only talk about total professional titles because otherwise it’s just a mess

@RainTown My point is that why do fans care, the only difference it makes to fans is that it makes the tournament better as more players enter it. Don’t know why fans get so caught up in its ranking status it doesn’t really mean anything

I’ve never really understood why fans are so bothered about the Shootout being a ranking event. What difference does it make to a fan apart from making it a better event? Making it non-ranking would completely ruin it. If you have the event, it has to be ranking

Oh fuck for some reason I thought the final was Bo11. Bo9 final is quite an abysmal viewing length. Can't exactly settle into a Bo9 final. In fact, this tournament has been the worst advert for Bo7s with all the whitewashes. Shame.
