Strang's uncle confirmed that Jesse was transgender and responsible for the shooting, which left 10 people dead including the suspect.

🚨🇨🇦 AT LEAST 10 DEAD IN BRITISH COLUMBIA SCHOOL SHOOTING, SUSPECT FOUND DEAD A shooter opened fire at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School on Tuesday, killing at least 10 people before dying from what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury. Police found six victims dead at the school, one died in transport, and two more were found at a secondary residence connected to the incident. Approximately 25 others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No additional suspects. The suspect was reportedly referred to as a "gunperson" in some coverage. Make of that what you will.
