Live Nation just dropped $30 all-in tickets to 4,000+ shows this summer. Kid Cudi, Pussycat Dolls, Kesha, Iron Maiden, Luke Bryan… 🎶 This isn't charity from the world's largest ticketing company. This is a demand signal. When the same company that built the infrastructure for $200 floor tickets & $35 service fees starts offering $30 all-in shows, they're telling you exactly what their data says: premium live music pricing has gone so far it's pricing out its own audience. Either the cost of living has caught up with live entertainment or someone finally did the math. $30 says more about the state of the industry than any festival lineup announcement will. 😅

Madonna just announced Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II dropping July 3. Same producer. Same DNA. 21 years later. 🪩 Most artists doing a sequel this far out are just chasing nostalgia. But Madonna wrote a manifesto instead - "the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It's a place where you connect with your wounds, with your fragility."💃 That’s not a legacy lap. That's someone who still has something to say. The original Confessions was considered her creative peak. The album that proved she could still lead rather than follow. A direct sequel instead of pivoting to something safe is either the most confident move of her career or the most vulnerable one. Probably both. With Madonna it's usually both. I remember growing up in Russia listening to Madonna. She had no business reaching that far & yet there she was… Twenty years later she's still making me feel something worth feeling. That's the whole point. Here are 2 of my favorite songs of hers. 👇

Spotify looked at Peloton struggling to stay relevant and thought "we'll take that." Which honestly? Respect. One app for your playlist, your podcast, and now your spin class. The bundle wars are just getting started and the winner won't be the one with the best content — it'll be the one you can't leave without losing too much. Peloton gets distribution. Spotify gets stickiness. Users get... less reason to ever close the app. 🤔 Convenience is the real product. Always has been.

The @McDonalds x KPop Demon Hunters bonus content just dropped & it's exactly as unhinged as it should be. 🍟 The animated characters were brought into real life by the real singers - Saja Boys with "Soda Pop" & Huntrix with "How It's Done". Plus, the full winner reveal for the fans. 👀 Two Oscar wins, a @netflix record, two types of happy meals & now a live concert reveal. The KPop Demon Hunters universe just keeps expanding & nobody's complaining. Least expected franchise of 2026. Most fun one too.👇

Charlize Theron climbed an actual rock wall several stories above Times Square yesterday to promote her Netflix film Apex. At 50. And that’s after she performed all of her own stunts in the movie itself. Netflix is a streaming platform. They didn't HAVE to do any of this. But streaming has a discovery problem. There are so many titles, that getting anyone to care before release is the hardest part. A digital campaign often just disappears into the algorithm. But a woman climbing a building above Times Square while New Yorkers stop & look up generates organic content no media buy can replicate. In a week where one studio seeded influencers to pre-empt reviews & another cast an estate executor to play himself, Charlize Theron just climbed a wall. 🧗‍♀️ Sometimes the most effective marketing is just doing something badass & letting people look up.

Helena Bonham Carter walking off White Lotus is the most Helena Bonham Carter thing that has ever happened and I will not hear otherwise. 🎭 "The character didn't align once on set" is the most diplomatically brutal sentence HBO has ever written. That's corporate for "we genuinely have no idea what just happened." Honestly though? Good for her. Knowing when something isn't right and leaving anyway is a skill most people spend their whole careers never developing.

Critics gave the Michael Jackson biopic 40%. Audiences gave it 96% - the highest audience score for a biopic in Rotten Tomatoes history, beating Elvis. It's on track for a $70 million weekend record. 🎬 The estate wasn't making this for critics. They were making it for the fans & the fans showed up. Meanwhile MJ's own daughter Paris is in court accusing the executor of casting Miles Teller to play himself using estate money to "enrich and aggrandize" himself. So the film works, the fans are happy, the box office is historic, & the family is suing. It’s a perfectly normal Friday. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Jisoo went to Cannes *alone* and still walked a pink carpet named after her own group. That is a level of brand equity most companies can only dream of. 😄 The K-pop-to-acting pipeline is genuinely fascinating from a business angle. These artists aren't just crossing over, they're arriving with pre-built global audiences that no studio marketing budget can manufacture. Jisoo didn't need Cannes. Cannes needed the clip. Merit doing the work. As it should.

Rihanna just covered W Magazine's Pop Issue as "Queen Mother" alongside her baby daughter in a Dior couture diaper. 🧷 She hasn't released an album in 10 years. But she's still the most relevant person in pop culture. Most artists without new music fade from the conversation within 18 months. She's been gone a decade & just landed the Pop Issue cover. What she figured out is that the brand outlasts the output. Fenty made her a billionaire. The music became mythology. You don't need new songs when your name is the genre. 👑 At some point the anticipation itself becomes the product. And she's been selling that for years.

Thousands of drones replacing fireworks is either the coolest thing i’ve ever heard or the beginning of something I'll be suspicious of in ten years. Harry Potter's 25th anniversary drone show is going to be genuinely spectacular though. Coordinated light displays at that scale, run by algorithms, timed to the millisecond, the engineering, is all quite extraordinary. Yes I am praising Warner Bros! Mark your calendars. The open-air event kicks off in L.A. on June 13. After that, the drone show will continue its global tour, hitting at least 24 additional cities! 🧹✨ 🧹

Disney just spent millions on a Lincoln Center premiere for The Devil Wears Prada 2 that was specifically designed for influencers to flood social media before a single critic has reviewed it. 👠 That's not really a premiere… That's a pre-emptive strike. The original film didn't need that. It had Meryl Streep, a sharp script & word of mouth that lasted for 20 years. The sequel has the same cast & apparently a studio that doesn't fully trust what they made. Because if they did, they’d let the reviews land first. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Looks like bypassing critics with influencer saturation is becoming the standard playbook for legacy IP sequels. Get the nostalgia wave moving fast enough that by the time anyone says "it's not as good as the first one," the opening weekend is already banked. Miranda Priestly would have had thoughts about that strategy. None of them complimentary. 😂

@seanbenet8 Right so social embargo lifted at the premiere, critic reviews are still embargoed. If they were confident in what they made, which they should be, they'd let the reviews land first. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tim Cook just announced he's stepping down as Apple CEO after 15 years. His replacement is John Ternus, the head of hardware engineering. 🍎 That choice tells you everything about where Apple thinks the next decade lives. Cook's era was defined by two things: supply chain as competitive advantage & services as the real business. He turned a product company into a platform company & made it the most valuable business in history. A hardware engineer taking over signals Apple is betting its future on something physical again. Vision Pro, whatever comes after it, the AI hardware race. Steve Jobs was a product visionary. Tim Cook was a machine that scaled it. John Ternus is the person who has to build the next thing from scratch. That's the hardest job in tech. And the least forgiving.

Val Kilmer died last year. He is now starring in over an hour of a new film called “As Deep as the Grave”, as a role he was cast in before he was too sick to film, reconstructed entirely by AI! 🎬 His daughter approved it. His estate was compensated. SAG guidelines were followed. The filmmakers are openly considering an Oscar campaign for this performance. That last part is where the conversation should actually be. Not whether the family consented - which they did. But whether the industry is about to normalize a precedent where death is no longer the end of a casting contract. "He would have wanted this" is a sentence that can justify almost anything. It is also impossible to verify. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We are now one awards nomination away from that becoming the new industry standard.
