@JRHCBM @MsWonderOutLoud Racists have a long history of dehumanizing and oppressing people of colour by comparing them to animals. His comparison is inappropriate. ACT have been more disruptive of parliament with their refusal to follow parliamentary rules (regarding branded lapels) this year.

So if Farmers were to do traditional farming activities in a marae that would be OK. No It would be an insult to tikanga, to Marae protocol. What happened in parliment was an insult to parliment protocols. Are you being hypercritical or do you believe everything has a time and place (protest included)?

ACT's video calling Te Pāti Māori 'barnyard animals' for performing a haka is appalling. It’s a blatant insult to tikanga Māori and the significance of haka as protest. Amplifying this rhetoric fosters division and undermines mana. We should demand better from our leaders.

@JRHCBM You might think it's childish, and certainly I've produced some more immature memes in the past, but I think that you can probably find deeper meaning in those ones in particular regarding attitudes and policies towards self and others.

@cv_nicks There is nothing wrong with you opposing it, that’s called democracy. However the way you choose to do it through childish memes that infer he is a little man reflect poorly on you.

@JRHCBM I do not believe that my content is hateful or without basis. Often it is pointing out issues, hypocisy, etc, with policy. Even though Luxon is carrying out what he was voted in to do that doesn't not preclude me from continuing to oppose this.

Maybe I have misunderstood your post, but if that is the case, your ability to make your point is limited outside your echo chamber. I believe I am taking them at face value. Out and out personal attacks without basis. As to your ability to take criticism, again it is driven from perception, and your posts, but yes it is an opinion. Why don’t you prove that it does not reflect reality. A good start is when you get called out for hateful content, do some self reflection and say either Fair call or post the reason you don’t believe it is not hateful. BTW being a politician means you are open for criticism not belittling (in your case literal belittling) because they are carrying out the remit that the voters put them in place to do. If it was not in their manifesto like Hei Pua Pua, ill your boots.

@JRHCBM @flaneuse_di @dbseymour Umm, not everyone has the right to vote in the area. Just one example: David Seymour himself has been vehemently opposed to lowering the voting age for local government elections to 16.

Fun huh. Hateful content is anything that attacked people based on who/what they are, not their character/actions. You attack on the basis that people are in the political party you don’t like. You don’t attack the CEO of GreenPeace, he’s a politician and does unethical things, puts people into danger. No one is exempt from criticism, you and I included. That is one thing you and I differ on, you believe you can be hateful and yet be exempt from criticism. Criticism should be playing the issue not the man. Can you do that? I tend to mirror people like you, give you what you give others. It’s funny I don’t care if people block me or people follow me. I admire some post but get tired of some people and block them.In general I am happy to engage and present facts. I listen to facts but when I give an alternative point of view that does not mean I don’t listen, just don’t agree. Until recently I have been limited in characters, hard to get details into a character limited post Of course i expect you not to do any self reflection, just call this a rant, or whatever. It’s your choice.
