When I read the post - I expected a lot of mocking and finger pointing - from NRIs. They did come - from resident Indians. @svembu sir, you have been a builder all life. Nothing new. Keep going. There are many listless handles like mine, who get inspired from you.
Sridhar Vembu@svembu

Open letter to Indians in America. -- Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat: Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way. Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned. You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict. Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect. Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself. As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal. Respectfully Sridhar Vembu

@jskalc @claudeai @AnthropicAI Looks so. I checked twice - if the new 1M context read anything unexpected - and bloated - but - nothing of that sort. Maybe those double token usage in off-hours etc. is a precursor.

@HarveenChadha Is it per request pricing? I could not locate any per Mtokens. Would help greatly if you provide access using token based pricing as well. Otherwise, small players can't host it themselves - the deepinfras will not host this model.

@ShivaVuyyuru Ayyo! I understand all 3 terms. I am not even asking about the trade entry/exit etc. What impressed me is the way you decide the day bias - using a longer timeframe data. Almost like - from this POC to this POC is the move happening - I want to stick to trend. Impressive.

@cvkmohan I am basically a Market Profiler & it gives me the direction Order Flow helps me to find out the nuances in that direction Smart Money concept leaves some footprints when they execute their plan So I take a trade when these all align

@ShivaVuyyuru My question is more like - how do you prepare for the day? I have seen 2-3 different metrics/techniques used by you (on this forum) - wanted to know if there is a method to the madness :)

Here is my take on why Elixir is the best language for AI: immutability, documentation, stability, and tooling for coding agents. It builds on the recent study in which Elixir had the highest completion rate across models among 20 different languages. Link in the thread below.

@thdxr Would you be moving the task list/todowrite also to sqlite? That way we can preserve context across sessions.

@danielbergholz @courseshelf I have been lucky there. Atleast 3-5 times, I was tempted towards LiveSvelte or LiveVue - somehow I felt, my app is not so js heavy that I have to shift. Tried a few experiments - nothing like LiveView - for agentic generation.

MY GOD claude does NOT understand Inertia. I added docs to claude md and created tons of skills and he ALWAYS creates a freaking REST API. I wish I could wave a magic wand and convert @courseshelf to LiveView

@ProgramWithAi Thanks. Any idea why a database works better than markdown for a ToDoList and Context?

@cvkmohan yeah. and beads really is nothing new, there were plenty of task planning MCPs before, and you can as usual just say "plan your tasks for this project, use sqlite" ... I have no idea what the beads hype is about, legit.

“Use SQLite” is still my OP prompt. And by that I don’t mean using SQLite in your app. I mean “invent a database to assist you do the task I gave you” and then throw away the result. It’s like a structured, token efficient markdown file that can be queries in very token efficient ways.

@thdxr My question to you is the reverse. Do you use cursor? What makes you go to cursor when there is OpenCode? No - it is not sarcasm. I fail to understand why would any one use a non-cli based agent after experiencing cli based agent.

remember that anthropic doesn't sell claude max to teams of course you can buy it for each of your employees but any serious company is going to want the teams functionality and they pay per token which is very profitable great loss leader setup

@josevalim I still cant fathom the reason - but - agents maintain much better context compared to regular markdown with Todo List.

@josevalim I prepared one detailed technical doc - for human consumption. Then asked claude to prepare atomic beads from the same - which align with skills/subagents. Now, take each epic bead and implement in parallel. Beautiful DX.

Is anyone using beads (github.com/steveyegge/bea…) as a team? Checked into the git repository and all? Do you also use a standards issues tracker? When do you handoff from that to beads?
