Chris and Charlie are back together at headquarters following a stellar weekend that saw the stable clinch a fourth consecutive G1 Coolmore Classic with the brilliant Lazzura. Sixties found his groove, Tazima proved his staying credentials and Birdman dominated as he heads towards the G1 Australian Cup. With five Group 1s on the card, the stable is well-represented including a powerful trio of Fireball, Campione D’Italia, and Hidrix all looking to take out the Slipper. Meanwhile, superstar Autumn Glow faces a crucial test in the G1 George Ryder Stakes alongside Lady Shenandoah & Beiwacht. Lindermann, Aeliana & Trinity College tackle the G1 Ranvet Stakes and Autumn Boy is a strong chance for the G1 Rosehill Guineas. The action isn't limited to Sydney, with Angel Capital stepping out in the G1 William Reid Stakes at Caulfield as well as a strong team racing at Eagle Farm. There is plenty to unpack in this blockbuster edition!

A terrific day for the team with five winners on the board across the country. Highlights included Birdman producing a strong performance to take out the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes, while Lazzura delivered a special result in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic for B2B Thoroughbreds. B2B are tremendous supporters of the stable so it was a very special to see that partnership rewarded on the big stage which made the win even more satisfying. Congratulations to all of our staff, owners and connections involved – results like today are only possible through a huge team effort.

Barnavara and Seo Linn are both settling in well down under. Due to the travel delay and quarantine restrictions, we have had to revise their race plans so it’s likely that Barnavara will now race at Rosehill on the 28th of March in the Neville Sellwood Stakes over 2000m and Seo Linn on the 4th of April at Randwick in the Chairman’s Quality over 2600m. Malva and Grace are doing a great job looking after both mares in quarantine.

A very satisfying day taking out the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes. It’s a special race on the calendar for the sprinters and to trifecta the race made it even more rewarding. These results are only possible because of the incredible team behind the scenes — very grateful for their hard work and dedication. Also great to see Generosity win the Group 2 Challenge Stakes and Pinito take out the Group 3 Aspiration. Congratulations to all connections.

The boys briefly reflect on the passing of three-time Melbourne Cup champion Makybe Diva, recap the Inglis Premier Sale purchases, and review last weekend where Campione D’Italia edged out stablemate Central Europe to put himself firmly in the Golden Slipper picture, Birdman’s dominant victory while Autumn Glow’s next targets are also discussed. Attention then turns to the weekend ahead with runners spread far and wide. Two Group 1 contests headline the action at Randwick and Flemington, while across the ditch two bonny mares fly the flag for the stable at Ellerslie. What a day 🙌 A huge day for the stable, kicked off by Birdman winning dominantly at Flemington as he sets his sights on upcoming features at the elite level. That was followed by a nail biting finish in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes, with Campione D’Italia digging deep to prevail over debutante Central Europe. The perfect finale to the day came with Autumn Glow continuing her unbeaten rise, taking out the G1 Verry Elleegant Stakes. Birdman dominates the G2 Blamey Stakes and stamps himself a genuine Australian Cup contender. A private purchase for Group 1 Bloodstock & Ozzie Kheir, the son of Free Eagle continues to go from strength to strength. Four Winners & Big Group 1 Performances – A Super Day for the Stable It was a fantastic day at the races with four winners across three tracks. 🏆 Ivy Legend saluted at Wyong with a strong, professional performance. 🏆 Saveur delivered at the Gold Coast. 🏆 Captain Furai was dominant at Rosehill. 🏆 Lord Penman made it a double at Rosehill with an impressive victory. Interstate in Melbourne, it was a day of outstanding efforts at the top level. In the Group 1 Futurity Stakes, crowd favourite Buckaroo produced a huge first-up run to finish second, while Leica Lucy ran a very credible fifth in the same race, both competing strongly at the elite level. A big thank you to our owners, staff and supporters — days like this are a team effort and we’re proud of what the stable continues to achieve.
