After not receiving a raise in the four years I’ve worked at BHIS they’ve now decided to reduce my pay by $40k after coming back from maternity leave and moving my role to solely pentesting. So I am looking for a new position effective immediately if anyone has any leads 😇

@shenetworks It is really a function of role. if you are someone that lives on the sales team then probably but if you are someone that lives on the research software development or proserv side I haven’t seen anyone care

I’m curious. If you work in cyber security, does the company you work for care about visible tattoos? More specially hands/neck? (Government employees need not respond)

@editingemily This struck a cord for me… I think the worst part is that most of the things we do to address burnout either only address the symptoms or don’t work at all. Vacation is nice, unless the bills are getting paid and the work is meaningful none of it matters.

This is one of the many, many reasons I left AWS without another gig. I was completely empty and utterly burnt out.
