@GBHockeyFuture For me, the main reason comes down to ice time. Simply put, this country doesn’t have enough ice rinks dedicated to hockey. If it did, I have no doubt that the youth program would be so much more successful. There simply isn’t enough ice time for the younger players in the UK.

The players who didn’t make it were just clearly not good enough for the league. The league as a whole cannot just pander to youngsters. The focus is winning for most.
