Wi-Fi 8 Infrastructure Is Coming Broadcom has unveiled new enterprise Wi-Fi 8 chipsets designed for next-generation access points and campus switching hardware. The announcement includes: ✔ New Wi-Fi 8 radio chips ✔ An integrated access point processor that combines compute, networking, and wireless functions ✔ A new multi-gigabit Ethernet switch chip with built-in security features such as MACsec and post-quantum cryptography support Wi-Fi 8 is not about dramatically faster peak speeds. The focus is improved stability, lower latency variation, time-sensitive networking, and better performance in high-density enterprise environments.
