@BRamseyKSR The article written about him has me kinda skeptical at best about him but we shall see. Talent is for sure there and you don’t really need a high b-ball IQ to function in cals system so it might all work out.

Arkansas lands one of the most talented players in the Class of 2026 in Miikka Murrinen. I remember seeing him a few years ago at Peach Jam and immediately thought he had a chance to be a STAR. Anxious to see how he plays for the Razorbacks as a freshman.

This pertains to rankings, postseason awards, All-Star games, etc. so believe me when I say this isn’t directed at any one person or even in response to any one event… I understand the “emotion” that parents and/or coaches feel for their son/player. It is your JOB to care about them and, to a lesser extent, promote them. You SHOULD fight for them. I’ve always said it like this…a parent cares about ONE player. A coach cares about ONE TEAM of players. A fan might, at most, care about ONE SMALL AREA of players. However, the people who rank prospects, choose awards, select teams, etc. care about both NOBODY and EVERYBODY at the same time. Yes, obviously, bias can/does exist…but usually it plays FAR less of a role than “you” think. Again, I understand the emotion and can even respect “fighting” for your guy. However, I wish people would reciprocate by understanding what I said above to be true. “You” are focused on ONE PERSON while “we” are focused on EVERYONE. It’s an inexact science. Sometimes people even get it wrong. However, it is almost NEVER as deep as people make it out to be.

@cwsm223 We are over a week into the portal, but yes it is FAR from over. Not in panic mode yet by any means, but there does need to be something happen at some point.

This is certainly not ideal. Kentucky wanted Rob Wright III and heading into his visit it SEEMED like he would be committing...but that did not happen. However, as long as the 'Cats can pivot and land Zoom Diallo (QUICKLY) then this largely becomes no harm, no foul.

@BRamseyKSR At the very least Pope should know the players who don’t work in this system now. I know you’ve pointed it out before, 00 is a loss but think this system can work even better with more shooting and playmaking at that position

There are some guys that I think could come back and be a part of a GREAT Kentucky team, but I also didn’t leave the arena today in St. Louis feeling like I NEED anyone back. Today isn’t the day for big picture discussions, but a case can be made for a pretty complete rebuild.

It’s really hard to hear people give the “if their two best players didn’t get hurt” excuse for Kentucky. Their best player/transfer was literally coming off of a torn ACL late last season and they still spent a ton of money to bring him in! That’s a roster choice not bad luck.

Kentucky now enters an offseason that will likely make or break the Coach Pope tenure in Lexington…or at least extend it/end it. Plenty of takes already exist on how it’s going. All I care about is the final product. I’ll let it play out & then decide how I feel going forward.

The Iowa State run was always going to come. Just can’t let it extend beyond 9-0 (and really need to stop it before that). The turnovers are mounting. Just so hard to have someone besides Aberdeen handle it. Need to stop the bleeding NOW.
