Yep so the WNBA is officially banned forever 😭 Barker had 7 points and Engstler had three rebounds at half... They both do absolutely nothing 2nd half and the Fire lose to the FIVE and EIGHTEEN Sun. That forced them to go to the bullpen earlier than they thought, using 5 different relievers. They’ll need Tolle to not only eat some innings today, but be effective in this rubber match vs the Nationals. Since Mother’s Day, Tolle has been elite at home, posting a 2.51 ERA and over this K line in 4/5 games. In his last start, he took a no-hitter into the 7th inning vs the Yankees, striking out 7 batters. What’s been great for Tolle in this stretch has been his Chase%. He ranks in the top 10 percneitle among all starting pitchers with a 35% Chase rate against all batters, and a 40% Chase rate vs LHB. While the Nationals have been good vs LHP for most of the season, they have had strikeout issues as of late. 4 straight lefty starters had 6+ strikeouts against them (Luzardo, Sanchez, Rogers and Suarez), while Early was on his way to a high-K game before getting hurt.
