@josephfcox I mean, it makes no sense, that they would want to gain access to a system that could be used to gain access to a system that could hold sensitive data for another world power that it is at odds with. I mean, that just paranoia folks. Use TikTok. I'm sure its safe.

@josephfcox Why would they want a username and password onto a system that is on American soil? That maybe could belong to relative of someone who works for the government? Why would they want to use that access to then pivot to systems that government employee uses?

A security researcher's post about TikTok's in-app browser went viral. They said TikTok could steal passwords, credit card info with it. Lots of outlets ran with it. Spoke to TikTok, they strongly deny. Actually no evidence TikTok *is* doing this vice.com/en/article/5d3…
