Libertarians need to rebrand in a way that is not afraid to govern. Govern in a way that preserves the rights of the people and strips power from the institutions. The Bill of Rights are not a finished concept. They must continue to evolve to meet the needs of freedom.

@cyclopsinaround @ClistonBrown Valid criticism but I feel that unfairly penalizes Presidents for a decision that is really up to their party standard-bearers and the electoral realities of the time. It’s not Lincoln’s fault he needed to convey unity at a time when our country was sorely divided.

I have often been asked where I would rate certain presidents. So I sat down and reviewed the top achievements of all 43 men who served in the office for longer than six months. If they had a major scandal or failure, I dropped them a bit. Here’s how I ended up rating them: (1/)

@ClistonBrown Nice list sir, but is Taylor second-to-last because of his support for the Confederacy? I'd put him near the bottom too but don't know if behind Andrew Johnson and Trump

Science fiction nerds are gonna hate me for saying this but the Great Filter is that interstellar travel is probably more or less impossible and there is no reason to come up with any other explanation for that.

The Libertarian Party has elected a new chair, @badevan. He has been convicted of armed robbery, publishes gay torture porn, and was a Covid panican. The good news is the Libertarian Party under his leadership should be unable to take any votes from Republicans.
