github.com/magicsword-io/… found a 21KB kernel driver from 2004 built for windows xp that still loads on windows 11 ASTRA64.sys by EnTech Taiwan. signed in 2006, cert expired in 2007, but its timestamped so windows still says "signature verified" 19 years later. the company doesnt exist anymore. 31 IOCTLs with zero validation on anything. arbitrary physmem R/W, port I/O, PCI config R/W, MSR read, interrupt hooking, keyboard injection. no auth gate, no hardware gate, loads on any system with sc.exe not on loldrivers. not on hvci blocklist. no CVE. vendor is dead so you cant even do responsible disclosure. theres nobody to email filed an issue @M_haggis

@garrytan It's why their product is getting worse and worse. Mountains on mountains of tech debt from sloppy vibe code. It all makes sense now.

Holy shit. Anthropic engineers don't write code anymore. A new hire just leaked what's actually happening inside the company shipping harder than anyone in 2026: Nobody on his team has hand-written code in months. They run multiple agents in parallel and act like managers, not engineers. His exact words: "if you're just watching an agent code, you're already behind. that idle time should be spent spinning up another agent and directing it somewhere else." The mental model isn't "use AI to code faster." It's "you are the PM, the agents are your engineers, and your job is to keep all of them unblocked." He called it being "fully AI aligned" as a team and said it changes what's even possible to build. The productivity gap between people who think this way and people who don't is already enormous. And the proof is simple: Anthropic has shipped harder than any company in 2026. If you're still hand-writing code, you're not behind on tools. You're behind on the job itself.

🚨 NEURALINK’S FIRST NONVERBAL PATIENT JUST “SPOKE” USING TELEPATHY — AND IT’S BREAKING THE INTERNET “This is my old voice… cloned by AI.” A man with advanced ALS who lost ALL ability to speak is now communicating again using nothing but his thoughts. He made this video using telepathy, edited with his mind. Read that again. • Implant in his motor cortex (controls movement) • Size of five stacked quarters that replaces part of his skull • Robot threads placed millimeters into the brain, avoiding blood vessels • Thoughts → text → AI voice in real time Before this? He was completely paralyzed. Completely nonverbal. Trapped inside his own body using eye-tracking just to communicate. Now he’s typing with his mind… joking with his kids… even beating them at Mario Kart again. He says life has greatly improved since receiving the Neuralink brain chip impact. And that voice you’re hearing? Those are his thoughts turned into speech. Would you implant a chip in your brain to get your life back?

Been hearing about people faking GitHub stars to make projects look popular. Then I found this interesting paper. When something feels too good to be true, it probably is not true.

@Tuxsoia @gabriberton So the only real solution here is actually the opposite, it is to release the models from backbone downward - so software can be patched and secured before the criminals get a chance to attack. Otherwise we're all screwed.

@gabriberton Maybe he is right but misses the point. The point isn't whether the model is THAT good, it is that as he claims criminals who aren't that skilled will soon have the capabilities to do shit they couldn't before.

Super interesting take from one of the greatest hackers He says Mythos is not as good as they claim, because zero-day vulnerabilities are not that hard to find for skilled hackers I'm far from the hacking world but sounds reasonable Any thought?

@Tuxsoia @gabriberton Sure, but the problem is, criminals are going to circumvent any laws or regulations or rules anyone tries to introduce to stop it. Well funded criminals will also finetune their own models, decensor/abliterate them, or get illegal access through other channels.

@garrytan Just wait until they carry out some false flag hack attacks to get competitive open-weight models banned. The fear campaign over the last year is coming to a close, next up is chaos, then regulatory capture.

@rcbregman Nope. Dario is. Sam Altman is on everyones radar and has been since the start. Dario has been cruising along on a false air of altruism that is so very clearly a giant lie.

Sam Altman is the most dangerous man in Silicon Valley right now. The board that fired him? Replaced. The safety team that questioned his priorities? Dissolved. The nonprofit structure that was supposed to keep mission above profit? Restructured. The employees who wanted to speak out? Silenced – or bought out.

@DaveShapi Their year+ long fear-porn campaign is coming to an end. Next up is the false flag hack attacks and blaming it on open-weight models from other providers. "See guys, thats why we didn't release Mythos, look how dangerous these open-weight models are!". Curtains closed.

My personal view is that Anthropic has been ideologically captured by Effective Altruism and that the leadership of Anthropic explicitly and sincerely believes that: 1. Superintelligence is intrinsically uncontrollable. The best we can do is create it in such a way that it will be "friendly." 2. That they (and only they) are skilled and competent enough to land this outcome, and that they should have unique privileges and authority to shape this technology and humanity should just sit back and let them. 3. That "steering from within" via regulatory capture, integration with the establishment, and narrative control are the correct and appropriate tools, because they explicitly believe "democracy is too slow." That's what they believe, as far as I can tell, having studied Effective Altruism and AI Doomerism and the LessWrong "rationalism" for the last few years.
