@msuredhawks Eighteen conferences have had MBB teams reach No. 1 in the 27 seasons we have had a Top 25 poll. The CCIW, NESCAC and UAA have each had five of teams, the ODAC and WIAC have each had four, and the MIAA has had three No. 1 teams. #d3hoops

Schools/conferences that move to Flo at least need to stop saying the move: 1) Increases exposure to the schools, programs, and student-athletes. [It doesn’t.] 2) Is all about the student-athletes. [It’s not.] 3) Improves broadcast quality. [It doesn’t.] Just say in the press release it’s about money. #d3hoops

Another…this from a current Top 25 MBB program. Viewership this year (with @FloCollege) vs last year: MBB: ⬇️ 74.9% (704 per down to 177) WBB: ⬇️ 79.4% (437 per down to 90) Flo schools have lost so much important exposure to their schools, athletic programs, and student-athletes. That cost is not easily quantifiable, like the $30,000 influx from Flo is. But as I see it, it’s huge. #d3hoops

Here are real @flosports viewership numbers from a very successful UAA MBB program. This season vs last: * Total viewership: ⬇️ 73% * Top 5 games viewership: ⬇️ 70% I continue to think limiting exposure to our programs and schools is a huge mistake…and certainly not worth the $30,000 revenue from Flo. #d3hoops

Good news: @NCAADIII has posted new "official" #d3hoops NPI rankings Bad news: They still aren't handling MBB non-conference games between teams in the same conference correctly and it's impacting a ranking order inside the Top 10 from what we have.

PLAYERS, I challenge you to try this out… Watch a full game (high school, college or pro) and write down how each basket is scored Examples: Catch and shoot 3s Coming off a DHO Hitting the roll man for a lay up One dribble pull up And see how many 45 dribble combo moves you see/write down…. (Most likely not many) Then, after the game is over, tailor your own workouts to what you wrote down. Because those are the skills you actually need to be successful Something powerful about writing it down and visually seeing it on paper!

When trying to figure out a D3 WBB team's NCAA Tournament chances, the simplest way I've determined is by loss total. Teams might play differing number of games for a host of reasons, but their loss total seems to be a very reliable number to look at in simulations. One feature of my premium team reports is just that, showing which Loss Totals result in which Tournament % outcomes. This is McDaniel's current Loss Total Card. thed3statlab.com/premium.html
