Administrators, remember your veteran teachers probably have more expertise and experience than the people trying to create and sell new curriculum and initiatives to your district. Seek their input first.

I wish school admins would stop thinking that every classroom visit should be followed up with written improvement area for the teacher. Why can’t a classroom visit just be a visit?

Happy Father’s Day to all our father figures! In my role as principal I always think like a dad; show up to all I can, don’t take myself too serious, pick up after the kids, tell them how great they are, & try my best in holding them accountable to be better.
