SpaceX is actively hiring world-class engineers/physicists for SpaceXAI, even if you have zero prior experience in AI. Smart humans figure it out fast.
Please send an email with ~3 bullet points demonstrating evidence of exceptional ability to ai_eng@spacex.com.

I bookmarked this to respond later.
There is a trick religious writers use that, unless you are skilled in pattern recognition, you will not catch, which convinces me that these men were above average in intelligence.
The trick is to take a fully human process or event, externalize the source of the process and spiritualize the language used to describe it in order to affirm a deity.
Let us take the human process of generating insights.
A plethora of scientists and deep thinkers have tried to describe in detail the intuitive process that births creative thought, or the “aha!” moment.
A process where an idea just seems to “spring spontaneously” into your consciousness without prior deliberation.
This spontaneity of thought, a result of your subconscious mind ruminating on an idea below your stream of consciousness, has been described in various ways throughout history.
Albert Einstein, the father of modern physics, described the process in this way:
“I have no doubt that our thinking goes on for the most part without the use of signs(words), and, furthermore, largely unconsciously. For how, otherwise, should it happen that sometimes we “wonder” quite spontaneously about some experience?”
These flashes of insight or prescientific intuition, as Einstein termed it , is, according to him, the foundation of “the truly great advances in our understanding of nature”.
It is believed that our subconscious mind acts as the bridge that connects the structural realities of the universe to our consciousness through quick pattern recognition which we call “insights” or “revelation” or “Eureka” or whatever name that it goes by within your vocabulary.
Now what the religious writers do, is to take this process of revelation, a fully human process that is internally generated, and attribute it to a “Holy Spirit” just to affirm a deity.
Isaiah 30:21
“Your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (This voice is your pre-rational intuition, the source has just been externalized)
Ephesians 1:18: “I pray that “the eyes of your heart” may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you.” (The eyes of your heart is your subconscious intuition)
“The carnal mind cannot receive the things of the spirit,… for they are “spiritually discerned”.” (1Cor 2:14)
“Spiritual discernment” here is describing the same process, a kind of apprehension of specific truths that transcends rational inquiry because it is initiated by your subconscious mind.
This is why religious people suddenly receive these “insights”, call it “rhema” and proceed to start speaking in unintelligible tongues.

Errrmmmm Allow me to say it, but it's your brain, not the holy spirit

Immediately you get out of school, chasing big names should matter more than chasing money.
Yes, names before money. And fortunately, a lot of these companies have many opportunities for you that actually gives you both.
Working at places like Google, Microsoft, Deloitte etc compounds your credibility.
It changes how recruiters, founders, and even your peers treat you for the rest of your career.
Opportunities come faster and you’re not constantly trying to prove yourself from scratch.
A lot of people will tell you “just focus on learning, it doesn’t matter where you work.”
I don’t fully agree.
Where you learn matters. The environment matters. The standard around you matters.
At the start of your career? Brand is leverage.
Take it seriously.
I had no idea then but I do now and I’m sharing.

- The world doesn’t give things, you take things. If you ever find yourself in a position to change your life forever, do whatever it takes to change it.
- You are alone, utterly alone in this world. Nobody is coming to save you. Not even your parents. They have their own life to live.
- There is absolutely nothing you cannot recover from. When life is being cruel to you, lock in and hang in there. It does get better with time.
