FBI Director Kash Patel commented Tuesday on a recent article in The Atlantic magazine about his alleged frequent drinking and absences, denying that he has ever been intoxicated on the job and touting his department's work.
"I'm on the job. I'm the first one in, I'm the last one out," Patel told CBS News' @NicoleSganga. He also claimed he has "been on the job twice as many days as every director before" him.
Kash Patel: "I'm like an everyday American who loves his country, loves the sport of hockey, and champions my friends when they raise a gold medal and invite me in to celebrate. I've never been intoxicated on the job, and that's why we filed a $250 million lawsuit. Any one of you who wants to participate -- bring it on. I'll see you in court."
I have created a tip line to receive information regarding alleged sexual or inappropriate conduct in D.C. by Congressman Eric Swalwell.

@newstart_2024 Then why does he look like his heart is about to explode? Red face, thick neck. He looks incredibly unhealthy. I don't buy it for one second.
RFK Jr. starts most mornings with steak for breakfast, a big bowl of grass-fed yogurt topped with cream, and a generous side of sauerkraut or kimchi.
Zero carbs. Strict carnivore plus ferments only. He’s been eating this way for about 250 days.
He shared on the pod that he was having atrial fibrillation every day for four months. A military doctor reviewed his MRI and saw visceral fat blanketing his heart, liver, and organs — and warned things would worsen.
So he committed. After just 30 days on the diet, a follow-up MRI showed 40% less visceral fat. He lost 20 pounds of that hidden fat, then regained it all as muscle. The daily AFib disappeared completely — no skipped beats since.
He’s quick to note that it worked powerfully for him, but our metabolisms are all different.
It makes you wonder how much of our everyday fatigue or inflammation might quietly trace back to what ends up on the plate.
What’s one food you’ve added (or removed) that noticeably shifted how you feel day to day — energy, mood, or anything else?
Bessent: With service workers. I may be the most popular cabinet secretary in DC because when I show up a doormen—not so much bartenders—waiters, waitresses, they all say thank you for no tax on tips.
@BulwarkOnline HAHAHA "gas with a 3 in front of it" Dude, he means like, $32.00 a gallon or some shit, I bet. They lie but also there's a smidge of truth in it too.
Doocy: "It doesn't sound like we're going to have $3 a gallon gas by summertime, which we had initially been told by the energy secretary…When are we really going to get $3 a gallon gas?"
Bessent: "I'm optimistic that during the summer we will see gas with a 3 in front of it sooner rather than later."
The pristine public image of the President’s youngest son has been shattered by a series of high-level leaks describing Barron Trump as a "spoiled brat" within the private walls of the White House. While the nation watches the USA march toward a potential conflict in the Middle East, former staff members are coming forward with claims of entitled behavior and a jarring disconnect from the reality of everyday Americans.
These whistleblowers suggest that while the public sees a quiet, towering student, the "behind the scenes" reality involves a teenager shielded by immense wealth and power who reportedly treats household staff with a lack of respect that has left veteran employees stunned.
Rep. Mark Alford: "President Trump and I and others ran on the America First agenda. What does that mean? It means we have the be the strongest we can be in order to help spread democracy, hope for other countries. He is the peace president."
Trump: "Many ships are heading to our country right now to load up with the best and sweetest. I don't know what exactly sweet is, but when it relates to oil it's a good thing."
Hassett: "Gas prices are unacceptably high right now, but it's a very temporary phenomenon. And of course America itself is energy independent, and so the disruption, as bad as it is at the gasoline pump here in the US, is way worse in other countries."
