@jacobinfante24 I think from a draft point value to get a 2nd you’d have to look for a trade down between 17-20 (CIN, SEA, TB, DEN). Who do you think would be most likely of that group to move up?

Trading back in this draft is gonna be way easier said than done. That said, the thought of Omarion Hampton and an extra 2nd sounds pretty damn enticing if you’re the #Bears.

For #Bears fans against drafting an OL early, I direct their attention to the Super Bowl champions. The Eagles drafted Landon Dickerson in Round 2 as a backup in Year 1 before Brandon Brooks got hurt. He’s now a three-time Pro Bowler. They drafted Cam Jurgens in Round 2 and didn’t start him once as a rookie. He replaced Isaac Seumalo in Year 2 and is now also a Pro Bowler. Consistent additions to the OL are key, especially if you have veterans starting. You draft for more than just Year 1 — it’s about building a complete unit. Your offensive line is only as strong as its weakest link.

@jacobinfante24 They should take 2 OL in the first 3 picks. We just watched a year where the front line depth crumbled and they had no competent depth which caused Caleb to be sacked 68x. They are in the exact same situation now albeit better front line talent. 1-2 injuries and it’s 2024 again.

I’m still strongly considering OL at No. 10 if I’m the #Bears, even with their FA moves Braxton Jones is a FA after this year. So is Joe Thuney, who’s elite but also 32 years old. Jonah Jackson is coming off of a down year The OL absolutely got better, but there are too many variables to not make some sort of early move there in the draft You’re not drafting for 2025. You’re drafting for the long haul. If you can get a high-caliber OL with Pro Bowl upside, even if they don’t start Year 1, that’s a great pick at No. 10

@jacobinfante24 I feel like at minimum they need 3 OL starters (Jenkins could be 1) next year possibly all but Wright.

Imagine this as a #Bears offseason in 2025: • Extend Keenan Allen • Extend Teven Jenkins • Sign a top center in FA • Use 2 of their first 3 picks on DL You have a few cuts you can make to add more cap room. This could help them get over the hump.

@jacobinfante24 what pos groups are deep in next year’s draft? The bears could potentially have 2 2s, 2 3s (Cunningham hired), 2 4s (Fields plays 51%). At this point I’d be cool if they went OL with the first 3 picks tbh.

I'm seeing people say, "No, we need offensive line!", "No, do this instead!" The point isn't about any specific move or player. It's about pushing all your chips in on this window of opportunity while your QB is on a rookie contract.

@jacobinfante24 Terrell smith. I think if the bears trade for an edge/OT that Gordon could be a part of a trade.
