They are unelected constitutional functionaries expected to facilitate the democratic process, not tailor it to their "satisfaction". Ultimately, the Governor does not derive authority from the people of Tamil Nadu. The elected MLAs do. And when an unelected office appears to second-guess a popular mandate, it raises questions: is constitutional power in the hands of the unelected being stretched to influence a political outcome?

BJP can never tune to the pace of Annamalai’s vision. So it will be of merit for him to startup and atleast implement his own vision than BJP’s vision (which I respect). He was the first one in TN politics to say in 2023-24 itself, that 2026 will be a disruptive election and there won’t be a simple majority for anyone. I’m sure right now he must be thinking abt 2031 or 2036 while BJP must be still processing 2026 and analysing why the alliance failed! This is in no way to disrespect Amit Shah or Modi ji. Just that, Tamilnadu is not their cup of tea. Either give complete handover of TN BJP without being nosy which can yield long term results after 3 times more effort like En Mann En Makkal, or just relieve him so that he can choose whatever he wants to do 🙏 #Annamali
