J. Cole connects with Drake because they both are biracial. Both of them have struggled with trying to prove themselves to a sector of the black community. So seeing Drake in this position feels like a loss for him too. It wouldn’t have been if he would’ve picked a stance and stayed true to it.

If rolls were reversed and Kendrick lost… the industry would’ve been like “I told you so”. If we go back to before Push ups happened, almost everybody media members and rappers picked Drake to win this battle.
