Thought from today. @Goblintown / @truth / @secretsociety is probably the biggest sleeper community in all of Web3 and it's not just because I'm the co-founder. A quick thought. Today we were included in the @SecondWorld_io $SWIO airdrop claim. We were one of the only communities that were given allocation. The others were @pudgypenguins, @Memeland, and @sappyseals. We were given 1,000 slots. I gotta be honest, I was a little concerned about filling 1,000 slots. The gobs that work at @SecondWorld_io told me that they had to fight to include us as one of the communities. So we didn't want to disappoint. We made sure to give 2-3 reminders of the upcoming claim across social and in the community discord. But still 1,000 is tough for any community. We were told Pudgy and Memeland filled their 1,000 spots in 3 hours. Those are two of the most engaged communities in Web3. They have awesome founders, teams, and holders. 12pm came and in ~30 minutes we filled the 1,000 spots. Goblins, Mids (what we call Illuminati pyramids) and other Truth holders came out of the woodwork like super sleep agents emerging for the kill and the community absolutely crushed it. Teddy Williams knocks it out of the park. Teddy Ballgame. It was a bit eye opening of how much we have a sleeping giant here. It reminded me about how the goblintown and truth holders went ham on Only Up last summer when gob assets were added to the game and pushed it to be the top indie twitch streamed game - going from 500 to over 500k game downloads. It also made me start thinking about a new thesis about product market fit and web3. PMF is basically that we are dealing with programmable money so ability to make money or get free money can activate any community no matter the past. When people say (to anyone) well you don't have that type of attention now, they are missing that everyone comes back (to anything) when you enable them to monetize their activity. Anyways, just a thought and was a bit eye opening. The goblin horde is stronger than you think...
