Working in CAMHS and seeing the effects of the impossibly long waiting lists for GIDS first hand has singlehandedly been the most heart wrenching part of the job. It is not right that trans health care is not adequately resourced in the UK

I saw someone’s prompt on Hinge say “Green flags I’m looking for - mild autism” yesterday and I’m just a bit like ???? And like it’s not a quirky personality trait? Just like how throwing the word OCD around carelessly is also really diminishing of people who actually have OCD?

why are people online suddenly referring to themselves/loved ones as “autistic” as like a term of endearment? I get that they’re not using it negatively but I can’t help but feel it’s insensitive and inappropriate to use unless they actually have ASD?
