So Botswana can manage to keep their economy afloat through a single mineral diamond ( reserves) and subsidize it's citizens cost of living. Yet us with 64 minerals in our disposal we can't control our economy at least a week. Saka toita Patriotic sei pakadai? #NoToCAB3

The only way for government to cushion citizens from the fuel price hike pain is to cut back on government taxes and levies. Based on the costs mechanism in place: •Everyone should tighten their belts, government included. •Cut back on taxes and levies. If this happens, fuel can go down to under $2 per litre for both diesel and petrol. •Petrol would be far much cheaper if it wasn’t blended. It makes little sense under the current global energy environment for all petrol vehicle drivers to carry the Green Fuels burden. Green Fuels is adding value to no one except Billy Rautenbach.

This guy is jokes,Cde people of Zimbabwe do not need subsidies they have suffered enough on their own. What people want is a clear economic growth stimulant and that is a REDUCTION of tax on fuel. Your revenue targets will be met when demand in pushed up don’t you get it ?????

It’s not really that simple… Ethanol prices depending on the cost of production… At 5% blending, the ethanol component is 5.5 cents…. Should we stop blending? Not really… that ethanol value chain creates jobs for thousands of people… it creates opportunities for thousands of small scale sugar cane farmers… it’s a source of tax revenue for the govt… & it most importantly, it cuts the fuel import bill… Here is 25 L of bioethanol for sale in South Africa… Cost per litre is about R35 ($2.04) ….. Indeed the price can be negotiated further, but it’s not really the driver of fuel prices at the moment….

The fuel prices in Zimbabwe are not caused by the USA, Israel - Iran war. They are caused by greedy people among us. Billy Rautenbach needs to explain how Ethanol, which is a waste product from sugar production, gets to $1.10 per Litre. Ethanol is not made from crude oil. It is produced locally, and blending fuel is meant to reduce carbon dioxide concentration and to increase quantity, reducing the price of fuel, but in Zimbabwe, Ethanol is now costing more than petrolatum that is imported. Billy Rautenbach is driving inflation and causing the poor people to suffer. Transport prices went up and so will be goods and services. This must be stopped ASAP. #FuelPricesMustFall

Government is fully aware of the economic pressures facing its workforce, especially in light of disturbances in the Middle East affecting global markets. A review of wages and salaries was already due, and Government confirms that it is coming certainly by this April. 🇿🇼💼 Commitment remains strong to support workers while safeguarding economic stability. Let’s be honest. Angola can supply Southern Africa with oil. Nigeria can supply West Africa . Congo and Sudan can supply East Africa . Libya & Morocco can support . Instead of importing from the Gulf, Africa can supply itself. What’s missing is execution.

If protecting Zimbabwe's mineral assets for the benefit of our own people upsets other countries, so be it. Nobody should progress at the expense of the Zimbabwean people. Our resources belong to our citizens, and we will not sacrifice their future just to keep foreign interests happy.
