@Ball00nJosh We have a lot! Both what to do and what not to do. Hundreds of YouTube videos to answer that question.

@MarketPalmer_ The emotions and anxiety you feel are very common. Give yourself some self-compassion. It's an amazing journey if you allow it to be amazing.

Confession: In 3 months, I'll become a father for the first time. And I'm not ready. We have a plan to handle the financial changes. We have a nursery setup and all the essential baby gear. We're taking a parenting class. And we have a fantastic support system that lives nearby. But I don't believe anyone is truly READY for this big life change until they're in the thick of it. Before I get on my soapbox, it's important you know that I'm more excited for becoming a dad than I've been for anything else in my life (aside from marrying my wife). 99% of my emotions about it are positive – but it would be ignorant if I told you I don't have any anxiety about it. Right now – in my pre-dad life – I struggle to complete every task to stay on track with my goals. I get overwhelmed juggling day-to-day life responsibilities and desires. I feel guilty not spending enough time with all the people I love. And I constantly wish I had more opportunities to rest and "do nothing." All of that will become much more difficult when I'm a parent. Like, unfathomably more difficult. Current dads tell me there's no way to prepare for the lifestyle changes I'm about to experience. I believe that. So instead of worrying about it and letting it hinder my life, I'm taking the approach that has worked for me up to this point: Focus on what you can control, and let the rest work itself out. I think becoming a parent will be the most important time of my life to remember this. We're about to experience countless new challenges, and be faced with decisions that don't have a clear answer or path to take. There will be moments as a father and husband that I feel helpless. And as an individual, I will need to make choices and sacrifices that allow me to prioritize what is most important to me and my family. Being present at all times – not just physically present – will be a top priority. Thinking about work, creating content, and mindless scrolling will need to take a backseat in this next chapter. I will continue to publish content on this platform. In fact, I hope to publish it more often. In exchange, I'll be publishing less often on other platforms. Those have been more time consuming for me anyway. I'll continue to share my knowledge, thoughts, ideas, and experiences with growing myself and my family's wealth, and our long-term goal of becoming work-optional. I'll also continue to learn from those on this platform who are willing to share their experiences. Keep in mind that wealth goes far beyond just money. In my definition, wealth encapsulates money, health, time, and relationships. I plan to find ways to optimize all four of these while learning to become the best father to my child. But there will be growing pains – and I plan to share those as well. I'm beyond grateful for the blessings in my life, and the future that lies ahead. For those who have read this far, know that I appreciate you – and I look forward to continued growth for us all as individuals, family members, and lifelong learners 🤝

Can we please start giving kids the appropriate amount of homework? It’s always either 4 hours or zero, and neither of those can be right, right?
