But I'm not going to concede a like for a royal flag just because it happens to represent a Welsh murderous warlord. Not a community I want to be part of.

@ChallisMusings @YesCymru I'm not a royalist so I have no pride in some King's flag, even if he happened to be Welsh. I'm not religious either so have no particular pride in some semi-mythic religious zealot's flag. Y Ddraig Goch will do for me. We don't need the others.

I watched the Wales v England under 18's last year and said Nia Fajeyisan had a great future. At the time I didn't realise she had another year of under 18 eligibility... And she was even better, phenomenal in fact. She has a huge career in front of her.

.@RichardDawkins has been saying he is a “cultural Christian” for almost twenty years. I quoted him in my book, “The Atheist Muslim,” for which he graciously wrote the cover blurb. This is not news, my God-deluded Christian brethren. The idea is still the same: while Christianity and Islam are equally false and juvenile, in this day and age Islam is more dangerous. Thanks to the Enlightenment, the dangerous Christianity of the Dark Ages has been castrated and hippie-fied enough through the years into a docile, passive quasi-belief system reduced to some nice cultural holidays and some fun secularized rituals with Santa Claus, elves, bunnies, and eggs. Islam hasn’t yet, but we’re working on it. Young people are thankfully leaving both of these religions, and as Dawkins also says on @LBC, we will be all the better for it. Amen. 🙏

Ironic how Dawkins spent his life deconstructing the foundations of his culture, but in his old age, he has an affinity for churches, hymns, and Christmas. I could joke about how he can't scientifically prove why we should keep these things, but I actually find this kind of sad.

George Bernard Shaw once wrote that 'the Welsh are Italians in the rain'. Given the history of the British Isles, the 400+ years Roman occupation, and my olive skin complexion, I am still amazed, and also a bit disappointed that my DNA test came back as 0% Italian..
