New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby has been diagnosed with right hamstring strain and will be day to day, sources tell ESPN. Anunoby is the Knicks second-leading scorer this postseason at 21.4 points per game. He is listed questionable for Game 3 on Friday against Philadelphia.
@dafranchise10@iAmAngel_@KnicksMuse@ShamsCharania I wasn’t proven wrong at all, as seen here, where OG’s injury is “very, very minor” and will most definitely play within the next 2 games, if not next game
@MG051503@iAmAngel_@KnicksMuse@ShamsCharania you do bc you kept being proven wrong around the medical nature of a hamstring tear. what it is, how long recovery takes, different types, etc.
@MG051503@iAmAngel_@KnicksMuse@ShamsCharania thats how teams use PR to potentially gain an advantage. Does it help the knicks more if philly def knows OG isnt playing when they are putting together their gameplan or that philly is uncertain and has to plan for both scenarios? which helps the knicks more?
@MG051503@iAmAngel_@KnicksMuse@ShamsCharania If you’re measuring "availability" by whether a guy can physically walk onto the court and stand in the corner as a decoy, then yes—2-3 games (about 7 days) is the standard window for "gutting it out.
But there's a massive difference between being on the floor &playing as he was
@dafranchise10@iAmAngel_@KnicksMuse@ShamsCharania To fully heal, what your timeline says. Probably takes around 2 weeks to FULLY heal. Yet that’s not what I’m talking about when related to OG’s availability in the NBA playoffs, and on THAT timeline, 2-3 games MAX, which would be the 7 minimum 10 day maximum.
