@restoreorderusa Discourse about "taking Kharg" is a ziocon plot to softlaunch a general invasion of Iran via the necessary scope creep that would be drip fed to the public because of its physical location.

@restoreorderusa No offense Patrick (because you're just commenting on current discourse which is strangely divorced from maps) but it isn't physically possible to "just seize Kharg." Taking Kharg implies securing the entire coast of the Iranian mainland. May as well aim for Tehran at that point.

Current prediction: Escalation in Iran involving ground troops attempting to take Kharg & enriched uranium. Doesn’t topple regime. Trump takes the W and we’re out sometime summer. Not another Iraq, but still a deviation from campaign promises & politically and economically costly. Better to have pulled out after killing the Ayatollah. Not ideal, and not something I can be accused of calling for or cheering on, but progress on domestic stuff will continue nonetheless.
