@ChimeWhistle CCTV systems are about as far from rocket science as it is possible to be. All off the shelf, run the wires...job done.

A new train fleet has faulty CCTV, resulting in huge backlog in downloading footage to assist in arrests - including for sexual assaults. Queue isn't moving because the machine is broken. Train builder admits problem, while operator says the CCTV is "working as intended."

Well that’s me competent for another two years with passing all the multiple question and answer papers, carrying out a briefing in front of the class and tested on simulated faulting procedures that required safe systems of work to be implemented. Everyone home safe !
