Fidel Castro’s daughter Alina Fernández addresses the rumors that Justin Trudeau is her half brother.
The strangest part of her recent interview with @KatiePavlich is that Fernández did not outwardly deny the story.
PAVLICH: “For years, we’ve heard rumors that Justin Trudeau, the former prime minister of Canada, could be your half brother. What do you think of that?”
FERNÁNDEZ: “Uh...the only thing I can say is that his mother used to visit the country very often...”
PAVLICH: “Well, that might be a tell then. I guess, that’s a half answer.”
FERNÁNDEZ: “Yeah!”
PAVLICH: “Do you plan to call him and maybe find out?”
FERNÁNDEZ: “No...no. Uh...I won’t do it. If he wants, he’s going to be welcome, but I won’t. I won’t.”
“I think he keeps that to himself and you have to respect that.”
Interesting.

RC-10 Family
Our RC-10 collection has grown to nine cars.
In 1986, we participated in our first off-road race, competing in the regional qualifiers with a Kyosho Optima and a Scorpion borrowed from a friend. At the first All Japan Championship, thanks to support from Mr. REEDY, we received an RC-10 and were able to finish in second place. The following year, in 1987, we placed eighth in the 2WD class of the World Championship.
From then until I left Yokomo in 2004, we used the RC-10 in all 2WD races.
In the 1989 and 1991 World Championship, we were able to participate with a stealth car and won both times.
Our off-road 2WD vehicles are all RC-10s; we have never touched or even tested any other cars. However, we used almost every RC-10 model, from the initial model up to the B3.
Thanks to last year's vintage race, various machines have gathered in my possession. Most of them are reproductions, but I'd like to run them all if I get the chance.
However, right now we have to decide which car to use for this year's vintage race in Las Vegas, so we've started testing.
The candidates for the car to use are the '89 Stealth Car, the '91 Stealth Car, and the Factory Team Car.
First, I'll start with testing the shocks, which are crucial for off-road driving. Big bore shocks seem to be the mainstream these days, but how do 10mm, 12mm, and 13mm shock cases differ? Also, there are so many springs, so I think it's necessary to test those as well.
Because there are so many possible combinations, we've decided to use the proven '89 Stealth Car as the test car.
The test track is Midori Circuit in Gunma, and I'm grateful for the cooperation of the owner, Mr. Yanai, and Mr. Kodera, also known as Kaipa.

🇸🇾🇩🇪 Syria has rejected Germany’s plan to return over 700,000 Syrian refugees to their home country.
"We categorically reject any attempts at forced deportation,” said Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.
He added that Syrians in Germany are a “strategic resource” rather than a burden.

@politicalawake It's fake. It isn't hate speech to speak the truth. X isn't going to do anything. You have freedom of speech in Japan. Tell them to go suck a pig's cock.

stare in silenzio.
E dire grazie.
Grazie Sami.
Grazie Jenni.
Grazie Patrik.
Perché avete ricordato a tutti noi che l’umanità vera esiste ancora. 🌊❤️

For all the people celebrating @MassieforKY defeat
You guys realize that by getting rid of Thomas, you don’t push the political needle at all.
This whole fight was pointless. It’s not going to make any political impact at all. The midterms are coming. The Democrats are set to take control, Massie is gonna be in Congress for the next seven months and he’s definitely not going to be playing ball with you now, it won’t matter who’s in that seat because Congress will be in the Democrats hands anyway.
Why celebrate a victory that only reinforces belief in many people that the swamp is in charge and only wants to punish people for not fully complying with some of the most unpopular policies?
Politically speaking, this whole fight should’ve been avoided as it only furthers the divide in the right!

Ya, this is so Japanese. I love this place.
I worked at a Japanese newspaper for 12½ years. When they gave me an award for investigative reporting on a yakuza-backed loan shark, a top director leaned over at the ceremony and asked, “So — can you read kanji?” I didn’t get mad. It just never computed for him that yes, I’d been reporting and writing in Japanese for his company for over a decade. I smiled and said, “Yes. On a good day.” And left it at that.
