These are the things I will be working on and improving for Toonslab: - I will be focusing on making the reading experience match and surpass that of popular apps. This includes improving panel load times and states, and enabling readers to continue reading exactly from the panel where they left off. - As the product gets better, my attention will be shifting more toward distribution. I will be improving Toonslab's shareability. I want early users to be incentivized to talk about the platform as much as possible. I have some cool ideas that could help make every reader a distribution vector. More on that soon. - Currently, anyone can tip any comic series. I need to add a per-series leaderboard, so we see who the top tippers are for every series. - We currently have v1 of the marketplace, and it has already proven to be a great addition to Toonslab. The next step will be to introduce trading within the marketplace, so anyone can buy, own, and sell any item found there. I will talk more with the community to see how they would like that to look. - Webtoon alone has around 160 million monthly active users. I should be able to make a product good enough to capture 1–10% of that within one year. - I need to onboard creators and artists. Crypto is especially hated among authors, so it will be an insanely hard task to convince them to join us. I will have to change most of the crypto terms and wording currently found on Toonslab, so I don’t scare them away.

Recap of what has been done already (Long post ahead, so bear with me): - If you want a summary of what Toonslab is and why I'm building it on @solana, you can read this article I posted when I initially launched: x.com/thenemesis02/s… - There was a beta release with a pretty basic UI and limited features (UI completely made by me. I'm such a noob with UI design). - Later, I redesigned the whole platform and changed the entire UI with the help of some AI design tools. You can really notice the AI influence on the current version compared to the first. - Seeded the platform with comics. Though we don't own most of the series on the platform, this is essential for testing and showing off features. Any authors who are currently opposed to their work being on Toonslab can get in touch. Also, those who want to activate revenue-earning and sharing are more than welcome to reach out. - Worked with some artists/creators to launch their series and coins on Toonslab. The initial results have been very promising; artists were able to generate months' worth of revenue in a few days or even hours. This shows that with more traction and visibility, this will be 10x more rewarding for artists/creators than the competitors. - Improved the reading experience significantly. Panel load times, display on different devices, and more. - I have added a concept of XP that I don't think exists on any other webcomics platform. I wanted a way to reward those actually using the site. XP can be earned by reading, liking, commenting, and sharing webcomics. It's already valuable and will be much more so with time. Currently, it’s easy to earn XP, but as we scale, it will become much harder. - There are leaderboards on the site now. Readers can see who is most active and how they rank by usage. It will be used to reward our most active readers. - A marketplace page was added where users can purchase cosmetics, sticker packs, and collectibles using $TOON and XP. Based on current usage, it’s proving to be a great addition. I have a lot of cool ideas for V2 that I’ll discuss later. - I added the ability for readers to see who else is online and reading the same series, along with a chat feature. The interface is a bit basic for now, but it will be greatly improved with time. - I also started working on the "read-to-earn" aspect. I want to reward those who are here at the beginning during the most challenging early stages. Readers can currently convert XP to $TOON at a 1:10 ratio. This is experimental, and I have a lot planned that I can't reveal yet. - I made every transaction on the platform gasless, from tipping to swapping to marketplace purchases. SOL isn't required for any of these. Most of my users will be people who have never interacted with crypto, so I want those functionalities to be as abstracted away as possible. - I added predictions, where readers can guess what will happen in the story to win coins or XP. This is an experimental release that will be polished later, but the functionality is currently live. - There are more features I’ve added that are less critical for now.
