i actually think a lot of large-scale relationship dysfunction happening right now is due to people's fear of getting their feelings hurt & hurting the feelings of others. you actually cannot have any long-lasting relationships, both romantic & platonic, without rupture & repair

This word is the only reason I kinda understand when black Americans talk about Africans not understanding their struggle.

Just because someone ate or drank slightly more than you shouldn’t matter if you’re ‘friends’. It only becomes an issue when people are intentionally being opportunistic and ordering caviar, full bottles etc( then obvs they settle that separately 😅)

Girll, I’m not their family member 😂 but I have followed them for over a decade and its so sad.According to her most recent video,the kids are fully with him during the school year and with her during the holidays as he has a support system and she is trying to find her feet…😬

I think the issue here is that a lot of you don’t actually understand how private equity works.
Nobody is saying connections don’t matter. Of course they do. But LPs are not wiring you money simply because of who your father is. In fact, if you’re a PEP, they probably do even more diligence, not less.
She literally said in the interview that it took her 8 years to raise $80m. Do you people honestly think her dad didn’t have $80m to give her if that was all it took?
Let’s not cheapen the work that went on behind the scenes cos her background is convenient for your argument.

While all the “hard work” story makes sense, we should learn to acknowledge when leverage open doors.. We try to attribute every huge success to “hard work” The lady said it herself “network of people” We saw how Dangote causally donated 100B to Otedola daughter’s foundation
