‘In a Life’ is a song about friendship and while we accept how absurd it is to talk about faith and friendship in such nihilistic times, we are unrepentant... this is emotionally direct which for some will be uncool. But that’s the point… to be confrontational and challenging to the coolness that creeps into relationships. Easter Lily EP available now. Read Propaganda. u2.komi.io

Para mí, Easter Lily es de lo mejor que U2 ha hecho en años. No por grande ni por épico, sino por honesto: duelo, amistad, herida, amor, rito y una fe interrogada hasta el final. Pequeño en duración, enorme en intención. @U2 #u2 #EasterLily

Bono’s Bible
Bono’s Bible@BonosBible·
The Easter Message in U2’s “Scars” — by Ken M. Penner In Bono’s imaginative world, faith often begins as the quiet hum of a Dublin choir or the polite Jesus of the Sunday school wall charts. It is the Jesus who stands at the door and knocks, waiting for the believer to turn the brass handle (Revelation 3:20). But as one lives a little longer, gathering the “scar tissue” of human struggle and sitting in the harsh, fluorescent glare of hospital waiting rooms, the realization dawns that grace isn’t always polite. Sometimes history stops knocking and starts using a boot. Sometimes the doors of the heart have to be kicked open. “Scars” is a lyric that feels written with the police report of Good Friday still warm in the hands. Bono’s work pushes back against sanitizing the cross, reminding the listener that it was a brutal state execution. The song plunges into the roar of the townhall demanding a scapegoat (Matthew 27), the cynical suits making laws out of lies, and the cold, terrifying steel of the “nails of the state.” One cannot sing about this Passion without tasting the sour vinegar on the sponge (John 19). The lyric wants the listener to feel the absolute physical wreckage of it. When the song shifts and asks, “Put your hand in my side,” it evokes Thomas in the upper room (John 20), yes, but it is also a demand to touch the very real, bleeding contours of the marginalized today. The loser. The least (Matthew 25). That is where the divine hides. And the wildest twist of the narrative—the paradox Isaiah saw centuries before when he wrote that “with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53)—is that the trauma isn’t erased on Easter morning. The wounds remain. The scars are what give true beauty; they are the proof of love’s stubborn persistence. Bono’s writing has long been drawn to the strange fact that when the resurrected Christ steps out of the blackest night into the blue dawn, his own friends don’t even recognize him. Mary thinks he’s the gardener in the dirt (John 20); the disciples on the road to Emmaus think he’s just a stranger talking too much (Luke 24). It is the terrifying and beautiful promise of “Scars”: You won’t know who I am the next time we meet. But the divine knows exactly who the believer is, bruises, scars, and all. ________________________________________________ Dr. Ken M. Penner is a professor of Religious Studies at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. He is also a founding member of Bono’s Bible. @kmpenner welcomes any comments.

Israel ARRESTED this 13 year old Palestinian girl. According to the law just passed, she could now be executed “legally” in the prison. Please don’t let them kill her. Repost this.

BREAKING: Israel is heavily bombing Beirut. They committed a massacre near a hospital. Civilians are being slaughtered where the wounded are supposed to be saved. Where ambulances arrive. Where doctors fight to keep people alive.

BREAKING. Israel is blowing up entire civilian homes in Naqoura, South Lebanon right now. Civilian homes. No military target. No justification. Just pure terror and destruction. This is a war crime in broad daylight. And the world watches in silence.

Should we officially term the 2026 box office as twenty-twenty-sexy or twenty-twenty-sex? …because everyone seems to be really turned on by theaters. Who needs K-Y Jelly when everyone’s fingers over the past few months seem to be covered in butter by the amount of AMC Perfectly Popcorn that’s been sold? Anywho, @CEOAdam called it… Q2 2025 Earnings Call (August 2025): “It’s our view… that the 2026 box office will be considerably larger than that of 2025… Perhaps with an occasional blip here or there, we expect the 2026 box office will radiate with great strength and resonate with theatrical moviegoers pretty much all year long.” Q3 2025 Earnings Call (November 2025): “We also continue to believe that the size of the 2026 box office will be dramatically larger than that achieved in 2025… There are clearly bright spots… that bode well for AMC with an expected rising industrywide box office in the fourth quarter and again throughout 2026. What’s more, knowing of the titles coming from our studio partners in 2026, we envision an even stronger and much more robust film slate is on the horizon for the full year ahead.” He noted industry revenue rises in 2025–2026 would drive “even more rapidly” improved AMC results (about two-thirds of incremental revenue drops to adjusted EBITDA). September 2024 Keynote (Variety Entertainment & Technology Summit): Discussions of AMC being a “much better credit risk in 2026” and bright future via upgrades/debt handling, framing 2026 as a stronger position. Q4 2025 / Full Year 2025 Earnings Call & Release (February 2025): “With an increased count of widely released film titles coming out in 2026, it is our firm expectation at AMC that the industry box office will grow markedly in 2026, that AMC’s market share will remain compelling, and that the very real operating leverage inherent in our business will kick in such a way that it can cause dramatic improvement in AMC’s financial results.” He previewed 2026 as driving “very significant industry growth.”
