A white co-worker at my old job told me that she didn't believe racism was as big of a deal as ppl made it out to be until she started dating a black man. They saw a woman getting beat by a man on the street and called the cops. Her boyfriend told her they should leave because when the cops arrive they will think HE is the suspect. She thought he was being paranoid about racism and waived off his concern. The police pulled up quickly and drew their weapons on him immediately. She had to jump in front of him and beg the police not to shoot and told them the man beating the woman is the WHITE guy a hundred feet away from them. She broke down crying when she told me this and said she never felt so ignorant in her life and didn't know how she went 40+ years as a parent whose kids had several black friends who she would always invite over but recognized she still never understood the racial reality they faced until that moment. She said it caused a crisis inside of her and she had to ask herself some very hard questions for a while but came out on the other side more educated and understanding.

This is what I know for sure about Platner - every legacy media outlet is trying their hardest to make sure he loses. They are investigating every minute and every facet of his life. They never do this for insiders. They despise outsiders who challenge power. The minute a candidate says he's not going to listen to the donors, especially AIPAC, he is set upon 24/7 by people posing as reporters. They are the attack dogs of the wealthy and powerful people who run this country - and they hate it when their orders are not follwoed. So, no, I don't believe any mainstream media story. I think they are agents of propganda and not real news. And to my knowledge, they haven't investigated a single component of Susan Collins very long and very corrupt life. Because that's precisely the type of corruption that national media loves and wants you to think is normal.

Probably got stuck in the wrong status hierarchies in school, had nobody to teach him better, ended up in a job going nowhere and blocked off from assortative matching forever at 27. Evidently he’s trying to change that by signaling depth online, which can literally be the only rescue for someone like that, so his heart is still in the right place – but he ends up signaling in exactly the ways that high-status educated people will find gauche – so naturally he fails. He’ll keep trying and failing and as before, nobody will be there to teach him better. Eventually he will give up. That is all pretty sad, and it's all through no fault of his own!
