We understand this may be inconvenient for the community, but these upgrades will help make the park an even better space for both dog owners and furry friends 🐶

Existing fencing will be extended up to the tree line to take advantage of natural shade, as illustrated. To safely carry out these works, the dog park will be temporarily closed for approximately 3–4 weeks from the start date (weather dependent).

🐶Lloyd Elsmore Dog Park Upgrade! We’re excited to share that renewal works at the Lloyd Elsmore Dog Park are scheduled to begin from mid next week (approximately 28th May depending on the weather).

Each week I’m providing a quick summary of the meetings and events I’ve attended as a member of the Howick Local Board (HLB). This is my report for last week, starting Monday 11 May.

The event was well attended, with Auckland Council represented by Councillor Daniel Newman & many local board members. HLB was represented by Acting-Chair Zeng, Members Collings, Turinsky, & myself, while Krish Naidu was there as President of the Fiji Girmit Foundation of NZ.

We witnessed speeches from distinguished guests (including Prime Minister Rt Hon Christopher Luxon and Rt Hon Chris Hipkins), candlelight vigils, interfaith prayers, cultural performances, and recognition of senior citizens.
