🚨 Media spinning hard again!
Matt Jeneroux (Edmonton Riverbend MP) didn’t just flip to Carney’s Liberals — he flipped provinces too. Family lives in Victoria, BC, but headlines claim he brings an “Alberta perspective.”
Alberta deserves real local voices.

@Chad1Harder @Tablesalt13 It isn't eliminating a tax as presented in the discussion. It isn't exactly presented in a manner that represents what is being proposed. People just hear that they will save the GST moving forward, which will just be present in another form.
English

@damncyclists @Tablesalt13 Which replaces the GST and keeps the tax for Alberta instead of it going to Ottawa. So yes we might pay a 5% tax but the money stays in Alberta..
English

@CalgaryDave Why is alcohol only allowed in certain Alberta Parks, why do some require permits if alcohol is going to be there, and why does Alberta restrict alcohol on May long weekend to some areas?
English

@YukonStrong I guess you don't understand what you are actually looking at here and the difference between legislative/policy vs constitutional/referendum. That says a lot about the separatist movement.
English

The craziest thing about Lukaszuk's petition is neither he nor any of the several hundred thousand folks who supported him even bothered to read the petition they were signing.
Fools, the entire lot.
Keith Wilson@ikwilson
Despite what Lukaszuk now claims, his petition expressly called on the Smith Government to hold a referendum on separation. Thank you Thomas!
English

@Martyupnorth Yet your post with the use of ai, is straight out of the propaganda playbook. Not a good look for you to be honest.
English

@the_dude_dude @RiseOfAlberta Employment opportunities in a wider and more diverse job market, not having to pay a 25% withholding tax for those collecting CPP, not having to spend billions in start up costs for a wide variety of services that will no longer be available upon separation.
English

@RiseOfAlberta Had anyone made a good argument why Alberta should stay? Are there any?
English

@jamie_metz32428 @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi The fact that everyone is avoiding a direct question, speaks volumes.
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi The fact you have no common. Sense says I t allq
English

@jamie_metz32428 @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi What about the incorporation and donations in 2022 was under the "Alberta voter program"? Your summation still doesn't account for the day one donation.
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi Just say you don't understand how it works.. we are under the strict Alberta voter program.. the gov has everything or it wouldn't be legal.. that should be pretty self explanatory.. do uou think elections Alberta a gov organization just says hey here do whatever you want?
English

@jamie_metz32428 @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi If the money was raised before incorporation, fine, then say how and from whom. Transparency shouldn’t be controversial. Deflecting to other movements doesn’t change the question: Where did the initial funding come from?
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi How low is your iq moron? They just announced it that day.. doesn't mean it was Day one goof and hey moron Elon is Canadian and can donate anything he wants anyways.. thanks for proving you ppl are all low iq .. BTW who sponsored blm and pro Palestine? Goof
English

@jamie_metz32428 @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi Grassroots doesn’t explain $1M on day one that’s the point. If it’s “hard-working Albertans,” great, then it should be easy to say who (or at least how it was structured).
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi From us hard working albertains.. we make dang good money.. just because th far left has issues getting money doesn't mean everyone does..
English

@TheBreakdownAB Gonna get weirder. Imagine a bunch of Canadians voting in Alberta elections, what will separatist's do?
English

@maythefourth69 @econofreight @nenshi That doesn't answer the question. Both assertations are speculation, and unlikely in 2022.
English

@damncyclists @econofreight @nenshi Not from Elon Musk or Russia or any of the other sources you are fearful of. Pull yourself together.
Albertans buying T-shirts and hats. Maybe sending in a donation which is normal.
English

@econofreight @maythefourth69 @nenshi Funny thing is if you read the thread, you will see your math is off, as well as your reading comprehension...lol
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @nenshi Or 1000 people donated $1000?
It’s really a quite irrelevant amount of money. You aren’t very good with numbers are you?
English

@damncyclists @econofreight @nenshi LOL. You must have zero experience in capital markets.
Raising 100M in Alberta is not very hard.
Face the fact that the Independence supporters have very deep pockets.
There is no funding requirement right now so this is moot.
English

@econofreight @maythefourth69 @nenshi Your summation was the money came from 500,000 Canadians in one day. It has taken separatists 90 days to gather 177,000 signatures. Yeah, nothing weird...lol
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @nenshi It’s funny you believe $1m is a lot of money.
There is nothing weird about this at all.
English

@JinglaiHe He needs to resign. Been saying it for a long time now. Otherwise, just welcome more of the same.
English

@econofreight @maythefourth69 @nenshi Yeah, I am sure there was a million dollars in legal fees almost immediately as well. Wonder who that went to...lol...but then again your math and rationale show you didn't understand what was even posted.
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @nenshi Just because you can’t wrap your head around people uniting for a cause (many wealthy in Alberta) doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
I’ve seen people raise 20k in a day for dog surgery. Is that fake too?
English

@econofreight @maythefourth69 @nenshi Doesn't account for it happening in one day. Nor does your math account for the additional $1.5 million in the same year. Also by you logic it was Canadian's that wanted Alberta to separate, and donated? All among declining numbers. Hilarious theory.
English

@damncyclists @maythefourth69 @nenshi It’s almost like millions of people across Canada want to separate from the regime in Ottawa. Why is it surprising that 500k people donated $2 for a cause they support?
English

@Roman_Baber @PierrePoilievre He needs to do the right thing, and resign. He lost his seat, took a safe riding to maintain power, and now has essentially lead the Conservatives to a minority. Keeping him in place will lead to more of the same. Time for a fresh approach.
English

I know the man.
He is kind, funny, smart & conservative. And I know that @PierrePoilievre will be a great Prime Minister.
We keep on fighting to bring back the country we know and always love. 🇨🇦
