@stephanduq For me personally the only thing that matters is that I challenge myself, pleasing others with my work is one of the last things on my list when I create something. I do appreciate it when people enjoy it though but don't really care if they don't.

Something that annoys me about the art debate in general is the disdain for beauty or “pretty-ness” Sure art can be more, and sure it can make you think about the world you inhabit, the role you play in it, and trigger all kinds of personal reflections that make you a better person. But can we also consider that a majority of the population is just a few weeks away from bankruptcy, and are not living in a stress-free environment that gives the headspace or financial room too achieve personal growth, or consider their role in the system that governs their life. There is nothing wrong with making work that is simply pretty and brightens someone’s day. Especially not in the dystopian world we currently find ourselves in. At some point the critique that artists must challenge the intellectual, just becomes a demand to make the rich slightly less bored and give them a nice story during a get together We have to consider that being able to “think about art” is not something the majority of the world can afford.

Too many people are hiding behind “you can’t say if an artwork is good or bad, it’s all very subjective” And while that is true, you can make an objective observation about wether a work is successful or not within its own concept 1/

GM, still landing after the huge election project. It's been quite demanding, but everything went well. The result of the election is quite worrisome, this country changed a lot unfortunately.

@ISombres It's saddening and disturbing. And the result of policy that increased inequality.

@eyes_of_lamia It's not pointless in this case luckily, but the timing is just not that perfect 😅

@damnengine There are way too many pointless calls and meetings in commercial jobs. 90% of the time they are not needed and are the result of the producer/lead not wanting to take the time to plan properly and just hand out tasks. I miss the days when emails were main form of communication.

GM. Days have been and are going be crazy. Always hard to have appointments and meetings while the only thing you want to do is to keep cranking to finish an endless to do list.

Good morning and Happy Monday everyone 🌞 Was a bit away lately (at least with commenting and publishing works), mostly due to hard times in life, but I was checking without interacting with what are all you doing and what is happening here. This week I will start interacting a bit more seriously again, also there is a lot of art in progress, so I am looking forward to seeing you around and sharing the good vibes again ✨ Here is a piece I made back in 2014 that is quite appropriate for the times we are living in. It is called 'With Love Against the War' and I suppose the name said it all. So much hate is growing all around the world and our little stone in the space is turning into a chaotic place to live in. I am not into taking sides in conflicts (even tho I often have my opinions). The only side I am taking is the side of peace and love, the values all of us need to have a happy life. Please never forget to share love with your brothers and sisters, no matter their skin color and religion. Start with loving yourself and your life, spread it to loving your family, partner, and other friends, and further towards other living beings. Love is the celestial substance that can save us. I love you all! 💜
