@AviationNews_UK So they wont be daily gulf air this summer

Gulf Air is set to resume flights to Manchester from May 15th, operating three times a week. Flights have been temporarily suspended due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Gulf Air's booking engine shows an increase to 5x weekly flights from 24th June, which would be a return to normal service. However, this is subject to change.

This month marks 30 years of Virgin Atlantic serving Manchester. They have also just registered their newest A330-900 ‘G-VMAN’ and named it ‘champagne Supernova’. There’s also rumours of a new route for Summer 2027. So, could be worth keeping eyes peeled…

Info | While they operate daily flights during the winter, Icelandair only operate 4 weekly during the summer months (April-Oct). Next summer however, GDS sites indicate they could be operating a daily service, which is good news but obviously subject to change so far out.

Info | UK airports that are slot restricted have a ‘use it or lose it’ rule that means a certain amount of slots have to be used. For the remainder of S26, this rule has been relaxed at 8 airports so that airlines aren’t penalised as the Middle East issues continue.
