All the Elixir libraries I’ve been publishing recently and OpenPencil are part of the same vision. The idea is much bigger than just building another design harness.

@dan_note @badlogicgames really? which model did you use? this one was cooked using glm-5.1. Initially it looked very "cookie-cutter Claude" but I changed a few things.

Introducing `pi-visual` an extension for @badlogicgames 's pi that allows you to spin up an alternative ui for your chats (it supports images as well) AND that is capable of rendering visual blocks when needed... Motivated by the fact that Markdown sucks and HTML is king /ht @trq212 Still barebones but if you squint you can see where this is going. I'll build a generic version that uses SKILLS to plug into any harness if there's traction. I would really appreciate any sort of feedback. github.com/deblasis/pi-vi…

Yeah, that’s the primary bottleneck for me right now. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve spent about $3k on subscriptions and tokens for open-source projects. And I still regularly hit the limits and have to delay some work.
Andreas Kling@awesomekling

I would be doing something very similar if I had unlimited tokens for a frontier model tbh. This seems wild now, but will be normal everyday shit in a year or two. Great to see @jarredsumner pushing the envelope :)

@mmtftt Ideally people don’t notice a difference between 1.4 and 1.3.14 or if they do it’s faster/smaller. If you upgrade to 2.0 of basically anything, you’re going to wonder what’s new. And in this case, perhaps that’ll be disappointing.

recommended reading by @antirez > I worked 14 hours per day on average. My normal average is 4/6 since early Redis times, but the first few months of Redis were like that. this isnhow i work too, intense bursts followed by a healthier phase. antirez.com/news/165

@dan_note If you give me any data(code snippets), I will be more than happy to look into those false positives - I definitely need many people to run it to build a massive testsuite that would guide the fixing process and ensure that those false positives won't happen in the future🙏🏻

After creating the Credence package for about a couple of weeks now, the flow is clear. Run LLM, gather data, analyze data, create/update rules. I'm starting to think that I could codify the whole flow so I don't need to be involved🤯 AI could analyze data, update rules and rerun

Introducing MagicPath 2.0. MagicPath is now a multiplayer canvas for humans and agents like Codex or Claude Code to design and build with AI. Use your codebase, grab data from anywhere, and see the agents work in real time as a team while building fully functional prototypes.

@dan_note @thdxr Not yet! Planning to try it in a future project or whenever we have some time (sooner if Bun goes sideways quickly and we need an alternative).

That's how I feel as a bun user (I only use it for bundling, so not at the same scale as @thdxr). The rewrite is impressive and I trust the maintainers are doing what is right for the project, but I expect rough edges. I'll reserve my overall judgement for a couple weeks/months.
dax@thdxr

we are impacted by bun stability more than almost anyone, anything they're doing to try and improve that is good simultaneously we're going to wait a long time before considering moving a million daily users to the rust version so we're stuck for now

I don’t think mass layoffs are an early sign of AI replacing developers. I think companies simply have no other way to adapt their workforce to a rapidly changing environment than by laying off part of it and hiring people who fit the new reality better.

Passing all existing tests is not enough. There can still be new, unexpected, and highly sophisticated regressions. And honestly, it feels like no living person fully owns the codebase anymore. I’ve been maintaining a few heavily LLM-generated Rust codebases for a while now, and I’m currently working on a new JS runtime myself. It’s not that simple — you still can’t trust LLMs that much
