@FightofFaith Hymns! I do the media presentation for Sunday service and will be moved to tears as I type the lyrics of some of the older hymns nearly every week. There is just a depth and beauty of language in those older gems.

Throwback to when I was about six years old. So young and not a care in the world. The 80s were a great time to be a kid. Things were much more simpler and slower paced. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days.

@mrsmeganeverly I think the kids would have a ball all piled up together. There are some older kids to help with the younger ones (Yes, it is fine to have them do that). It’s not like she wants to go to Hawaii or something. She’s having a baby and wants a special day of bonding afterwards.

They missed a ✨️golden opportunity✨️ to host a couple day "cousin camp" where they made gifts for new baby and handmade crafts for Mommy. The house would have been back to normal after a few days. Now there will be gnarly sibling tension for a lot longer.

@elizabethprata Since I retire I try to avoid mid-May to mid-June for dr appts because the place is full of teachers who have suffered for months and are just now getting to go to the doc.

We're coming down to the wire. Thursday is Field Day &after that there are only 3 1/2 days of school for the kids, 5 1/2 for teachers I'm going to do crazy stuff: eye doc appointment, oil change, nap. Maybe even go see The Sheep Detectives in the real theater! Excited for #Summer

@farmingandJesus @pastorlocke Crazy thing is I had dinner with him about 15 years ago prior to him going of the deep in . He was just a traditional Baptist that got saved out of a dark lifestyle apparently his need to be in the spot light suck him into what he is today .

I feel like he could have preached the gospel to the witches instead of doing whatever this is. This is supposed to be a pulpit to preach the word of God not a one man show @pastorlocke

@ZeekArkham Praying for you! A good church family led by a sincere pastor who preaches the Word faithfully is a tremendous blessing and support in life.

For a change of pace… The church my family has been attending for the past couple years isn’t something I’m happy with. The pastor has fully embraced “prosperity preaching” and spends entire sermons clubbing you over the head to tithe. I seriously feel like he’s a bad month away from his own “lock the doors” moment. His wife, the “co-pastor,” literally turned her back on me when I was going through a rough period, both personally and professionally. Honestly, growing up, I never had a good church relationship. There was a LOT of bad disguised as good. The older I get, the more I realize how toxic that environment was. For my little girl, I want her to grow up in faith. I want her to be a true believer in the Word. I want her to enjoy Christ and a relationship with Him. I only hope we can find a really good church in Florida that can nurture all of it. Y’all pray for my family and I, please.

@RevivedThoughts Youth camp in the late 70’s. In the middle of the nightly worship “Russians” came in and “took over”. The counselors told us to run and hide so we did. The simulation lasted most of the night with propaganda coming over the loud speakers, people getting “captured” etc.

Strangest church service you've ever been to? For me it's the one that turned into a Christian rap concert. Or the one where the main pastor got kicked out at the end.

No matter the season we are thankful for the place we call home. My great-grandfather settled 640 acres in the 1800’s and our family only has about 25 of it now. It’s beautiful and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.

@johnrich The last time I had one it gave me hives that lasted for MONTHS! That was 20 years ago and I would still fight anyone who tried to give me one today.
