Emergency planners have been making clear to utilities bosses that they will be forced out if they cannot manage and be seen to mange perfectly predictable crises. It seems tonight that Westminster may also concur and SE Water bosses days are numbered. Shameful

Me thinks South East Water are about to discover that select committees retain the "Power to send for papers or persons". Very loosely, think of it as the same as a High Court order, comply or else. Very foolish of them, but then let's face it, so far they've proved themselves to be pretty stupid.

Still without mains water here. Surely not another day without central heating, staying in one small room to be next to a not very efficient convector heater. Lots of old people live in this road, and good neighbours are keeping an eye on them/us, but it must be a health risk.
