We said a very sad goodbye to Rio this morning at home with us by his side 😢🌈🐾 The last few weeks have been tough as he deteriorated from a brain issue. I have no more words xx

💔💔💔RIP Patricia (Patty) 💔💔💔 Today, with the heaviest of hearts, we say goodbye to Patricia. Despite every effort from our team and the incredible vets and nurses at UCD Veterinary Hospital, her body could no longer fight. Her liver failed, her organs began to shut down… and we lost her. This video was taken yesterday evening 💔💔💔🥲🥲🥲 Patricia didn’t deserve this. She was rescued on St. Patrick’s Day in a horrific state, emaciated, injured, her hooves in bits, her body marked, and an embedded head collar that made it hard for her to even breathe. What she endured was not just neglect…it was cruelty 💔😡 And someone is responsible. This cannot keep happening. Animals like Patricia are suffering in silence, and too often, those responsible face no consequences. That has to change. But in her final days, Patricia knew something different. She knew care. She knew kindness. She knew that a whole team was fighting for her, loving her, and refusing to give up on her. We are heartbroken. We are angry. But we are not done. We will keep fighting. 🌈🌈 It’s a sad day here at Galgos del Sol as we had to send Tom over the rainbow bridge. Our big gentle giant who we so desperately wanted to save had to move onto the next step of his spiritual journey. He was a big softy bear who we first saw in another shelter struggling. I couldn’t stop thinking about him and went back to get him. He was loved there but he needed more medical care. He had compression of the spine which was causing nerve damage and much pain. Despite being with the best Nuero vet at GDS there was nothing that could be done except manage the pain. We decided to give him the best months possible. He’s had great food, bones, cuddles, high fives, blankets and so much love. He loved a peanut butter licky mat. He never complained despite struggling and always wagged his tail when he saw you. This made it so hard to let him go because whilst his body was ready, his mind was not. He never held a single grudge despite the cards he was dealt thru life, imagine if we were all as forgiving and as positive as Tom. What a wonderful world it could be. Fly high Tom, feel free to watch over us from wherever you are because we are going to need your support, we need to feel your big bear hugs & your love. If your wings ever get tired just take a break and remember how much we love you. Everyone loved you. Go now Tom and find your way. We hope to hug you again one day 🌈♥️😞 RIP 🌈 miss you x

Just to let all our bunny twitter pals know that my beautiful sassy boy, Horace, passed away in my arms this morning. He had become very frail in the 3 mths but his stoic character never accepted defeat! I am beyond devastated & my heart is in a million pieces #RIPHorace 🐰🌈😓💔

Dweeb is at UC Davis and is getting his surgery tomorrow! They're going to do their best to fix his poor jaw. Here's a treat - he had buttons for 48 hours 🥹 The first surgeon applied button sutures just to hold his jaw together until he could get what he really needs at UCD.

Just an update. At Oncologist. It was just supposed to be simple bloodwork, but since his last full diagnostics on Feb 2 Leo Bear has lost 2lbs💔💔💔💔. His cancer has likely spread/advanced and the chemo is no longer working. They are keeping him for the day to do full diagnostics again ultrasound… as very concerned 💔

Last night, we had to say an unexpected goodbye to Ivy. Ivy suddenly became very ill over the course of 72 hours. We were shocked with a diagnosis advanced liver cancer. Ivy absolutely adored Skip. With her love of people and fun, Ivy epitomized all the beauty and goodness of a golden retriever. #alldogsgotoheaven #goldenretriever 🐾🩷💚🌸
