Though in truth I remain somewhat sceptical, it’s hard to deny that the sheer amount of military power sent to the ME and still heading there every day is quite a sign that something is potentially coming. The cost of sending such power there is immense, and I suspect that with all the “expert opinions” we’re flooded with daily one way or the other, there is clearly something that’s happened, and something a very small circle around Trump is aware of, whether intel or something else, that has led to this scale of movement. Words can’t fully describe the evil behind the Islamic regime and their band of allies. Some of history’s worst atrocities have been committed by their hands, some just in the past few years. As much as the west believes it has progressed as a civilization, the Islamists have equally shown regression and a savagery that is simply inhuman. It’s demonic. And to see that still less than a handful of countries are even prepared to show an ounce of true courage and face this evil while most of Europe, Canada, Australia, the UN, and the entire Arab world do nothing but pander to and appease it, or worse yet collaborate with it, is difficult to understand and accept. Good simply has to defeat this evil. And those who stood by and did nothing will have no claim to any credit, nor should they share in any reward from it.

@Joel7Richardson I disagree. Persecution has always been a part of it, yes. But the wrath of God will be something entirely different, not directed at us. How would you find shelter in God when he's the actual source of these punishments?

The answer of course is that the rapture is not imminent. The Bible unarguably does not teach imminence as it has been taught by the pretribulational position. Believers are to always be alert and ready for the entirety of the events that surround the the coming of Jesus. This is the final trial, the final testing of our faith corporately, for which we are to always be alert and watching for.

The Doctrine of Imminence is that Jesus could return at any moment with NO necessary signs needing to be fulfilled beforehand. If there are NO preceding signs necessary, then indeed, specifically, WHAT are you watching for?
