The amount of hate I’ve received from people who’ve never been here over my honest comments about life in #Dubai is mind-blowing. But my experience is my experience 🤷🏽‍♀️ @mohapuae can we make DRS (Dubai Rage Syndrome) an official diagnosis? 😂 #UAE #middleeast

I expect Dubai will be out of food shortly. These are the sorts of consequences that leaders should think about before a war not after.

@LBC @EdwardJDavey @AndrewMarr9 @EdwardJDavey I used to respect you but on this you are so wrong. Us Brits don’t need the UK’s protection. The UAE government is doing it just fine without you. It’s embarrassing how left behind the UK has been on this whole situation.

Some more Dubai observations 🇦🇪 The Dubai community is divided into two groups with everything happening right now I literally can feel it just based on the group chats I am in Where it almost feels like it’s two different parts of the world - the folks who have been here for years or decades, been through COVID , other natural and man made disasters They are calm, they are living their life, cafes are full, malls are running normally They have seen the country and government show up for them in crazy times in the past Majority of these people live in certain parts of the city Meydan, mirdiff, difc, zabeel, greens , some in downtown etc - folks who have moved here recently , in the last 2-3 years, mostly in the web3 space, or for tax reasons They have no benchmark, they haven’t seen the country rise up before so obviously they are more fearful and worried They are living in mostly newer areas which are populated with more newer crowds so the effect of response collectively is amplified They are stocking supplies , they are hanging out in basements, more glued to the news It’s just interesting to observe. And everyone’s absolutely correct to be feeling whatever they are However I think it would be good for both groups to interchange thoughts and povs so it helps us all understand each other better Because honestly it almost feels like it’s hard to explain but I feel there are 2 Dubais existing right now and they are so vastly different

"Family voting" - of which police and polling station staff saw no evidence during the vote - is totally made up horseshit intended to cast suspicion on ethnic minorities for having the temerity to exercise their democratic right. That's it.

The replies to this tweet are sending me, from people admitting they don’t trust their own hand–eye coordination to the unexpected racism and homophobia sprinkled in for good measure. Guys… believe in your upper limb mobility. Have some faith in your aim. And for those curious: the bum gun does not kiss your anus, you do not need to stand up, and yes, you pat dry with tissue afterwards. Then you wash your hands just like you’d wiped your bottom as normal. I’ve been converted. Since getting back from India 🇮🇳 I’ve felt basically unclean unless I’ve fully showered. The bum gun changed me. 😂 youtube.com/shorts/eBdrli1…

Lots of talk about we wipe bans due to fat bergs. I have recently returned from India and I have to say, we in the West are living in the dark ages when it comes to bum cleaning! Every toilet in India has a bum gun, I didn’t use a wet wipe once. We should make bum guns standard across all UK loos! Hearing the conversation on @TimesRadio with @Guto_Harri!

I hiked New Mexico’s tallest mountain last week. I saw no other human on the 6.5 hour hike, 30km. This year I’ve hiked 550km, 27,687m in elevation, for 125 hours, almost all in North America. The US is undoubtedly the most beautiful country on earth, with the most diverse landscapes. I’ve seen bears, eagles, deer, birds. A deer once led the path ahead of me for around 20 minutes, no further than a few meters. Hiking for hours on end in remote mountains and canyons unlocks a mysticism unreachable in cities. Nature humbles you, and reminds you how tough our ancestors had it. Lewis and Clark were true heroes, as were Scott and British explorers who conquered the natural world. There is no greater thrill than to be atop a mountain after hours of trudging with a heavy pack, in all weathers. It’s also the perfect opportunity to lose connection with the internet and the modern world. The greatest of the American greats is the Grand Canyon. Nothing beats the silence, the sheer drops, the vast landscape. Everyone should visit before they die.

@LBC @TomSwarbrick1 Bro why you milking this for your 5 minutes of fame? I live in dubai and covered in tatts. No one has an issue. There are other people here with facial tattoos. They did not let you in as your face pic on the passport did not resemble what you look like now.
